The Blessed One said: When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he teaches that things exist or do not exist by taking hold of the conventional truth of the world. But as for the ultimate truth, it is not so. This is a wrong conception of the wisdom of the All-Knowing One. He asked: Blessed One, is the conventional truth of the world one thing and the ultimate truth another? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, there is no such thing as saying that the conventional truth of the world is one thing and the ultimate truth is another. Whatever is the suchness of the conventional truth of the world is the suchness of the ultimate truth. However, those sentient beings are perverted, so they do not know or see that suchness. For the sake of those sentient beings, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva speaks of the existence or non-existence of things in the conventional truth of the world. Subhuti, for example, how many sentient beings have the perception of the existence of things in the five aggregates, but do not know that things do not exist? For the sake of those sentient beings, the complete division of dharmas is taken up. How can they know that things do not exist? Therefore, it is said in that way. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should practice the Perfection of Wisdom in that way, which is a wrong conception of the two truths. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the conduct of a Bodhisattva, called the conduct of a Bodhisattva, what is the synonym for that which is called the conduct of a Bodhisattva? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, the conduct of a Bodhisattva, called the conduct of a Bodhisattva, is so called because it is practiced for the sake of Bodhi. He asked: Blessed One, what does the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practice? The Blessed One said: He practices the emptiness of form, and in any case, he does not give rise to two kinds of minds. He practices in that way. Feeling, perception, and formation

And the consciousness aggregate practices emptiness, making sure not to let the mind become dualistic, thus it practices. It practices emptiness in terms of the sense bases, realms, and dependent origination. Making sure not to let the mind become dualistic, thus it practices. It practices emptiness in terms of the perfection of generosity, the perfection of discipline, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom.

One should engage in activities, and one should engage in them in such a way that the mind does not become dual. Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who engages in the Perfection of Wisdom in this way is engaging in enlightenment. Therefore, it is called the conduct of a Bodhisattva, which is a wrong conception of application. Sixty-first fascicle. After this was said, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, when we say 'Buddha, Buddha,' what is the term 'Buddha' a designation for?" The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, the meaning of reality is called 'Buddha.' Subhuti, in this way, because he has fully awakened to the true Dharma, he is called 'Buddha.' Because he has thoroughly understood the meaning of reality, he is called 'Buddha.' Subhuti, in this way, because he has fully awakened to all dharmas as they are, he is called 'Buddha,' which is a wrong conception of the Buddha Jewel. Subhuti asked: "Blessed One, when we say 'Bodhi,' what is the term 'Bodhi' a designation for?" The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, what is called Bodhi is a designation for emptiness. That is a designation for Suchness. That is a designation for Suchness that is not mistaken, Suchness that is not different, Dharmata, Dharmadhatu, Dharmasthitatā, Dharmānupalabdhi, and the limit of reality. Subhuti, in this way, what is called Bodhi is Suchness, Suchness that is not mistaken, Suchness that is not different, that does not change into another form; therefore, it is called Bodhi.
