, and the nine successive attainments, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, clairvoyance, samadhi, and the door of dharani, should not be used as "my benefit." It should not be used as "not the benefit of the door of dharani." The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha should not be used as "my benefit." The eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha should not be used as "not my benefit." Until unexcelled perfect enlightenment, it should not be used as "my benefit." Until unexcelled perfect enlightenment, it should not be used as "not my benefit." Why is that? Subhuti, it is like this: when the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, manifestly and perfectly awakens to unexcelled perfect enlightenment, he does not perceive any such thing as a dharma that should be done or should not be done. Furthermore, Subhuti, whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, the suchness of dharmas and the abiding place of dharmas are abiding, the element of dharma is abiding. It does not make benefit or non-benefit to anything. Subhuti, thus the bodhisattva mahasattva should abandon benefit and non-benefit and practice the Perfection of Wisdom. Question: Blessed One, for what reason does the Perfection of Wisdom not make benefit or non-benefit to anything? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom does not make any action on the nature of conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. Therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom does not make benefit or non-benefit to anything. Question: Blessed One, then is the unconditioned not the benefit of all the Buddhas and the noble hearers of the Buddhas? The Blessed One said: The unconditioned is indeed the benefit of all the Buddhas and the noble hearers of the Buddhas, but it does not closely abide in benefit or harm.

It is not the ground. Subhuti, for example, the suchness of space is not near to benefiting or harming anything. Subhuti, similarly, the Prajnaparamita of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is not near to benefiting or harming any dharma. Asked: World-Honored One, then does the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva not practice the unconditioned Prajnaparamita and attain all-knowingness? The World-Honored One said: Subhuti, yes, yes. That is so. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, by practicing this profound Prajnaparamita, attains all-knowingness. The so-called 'not in the manner of two' is a conceptualization that is universally ignorant of the nature of afflictions. // Asked: World-Honored One, what? Does one attain the non-dual dharma with the non-dual dharma? The World-Honored One said: No. Asked: Then, does one attain the dual dharma with the dual dharma? The World-Honored One said: No. Asked: Then, how does one attain it? The World-Honored One said: When one does not fixate on either the dual dharma or the non-dual dharma, then one will attain it. Subhuti asked: World-Honored One, how does one not fixate on the dual dharma or the non-dual dharma? The World-Honored One said: For that which has no object of focus, form is without an object of focus and there is no attainment. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are also without an object of focus and there is no attainment. The so-called conceptualization that is universally ignorant of non-duality, these are the nine aspects of the dualistic conceptualization of grasping that have been spoken of. // Then, the venerable Subhuti said this to the World-Honored One: World-Honored One, the Prajnaparamita is profound. World-Honored One, it is also difficult for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has entered into unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. If one does not fixate on anything called a sentient being, or anything designated as a sentient being, then they are sentient beings.

For their sake, they have rightly entered into the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. World Honored One, for example, if someone wanted to grow a seedling in a place where there is no basis of sky, similarly, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas also want to attain omniscience for the sake of sentient beings. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Any Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who rightly enters into unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment for the sake of sentient beings, and after attaining omniscience, liberates sentient beings from clinging to sentient beings, this is called difficult practice, because the wisdom that focuses on the non-existent is omniscience. Subhuti, for example, if someone wants to plant a seedling, but that person does not see the root of that seedling, does not see the branches, trunk, leaves, flowers, and fruits, but plants the trunk of that seedling, and constantly waters it, that trunk gradually becomes lush with branches, lush with leaves, lush with flowers, and lush with fruits. Then, he enjoys the leaves of that seedling, enjoys the flowers, and enjoys the fruits. Similarly, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas also rightly enter into unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment for the sake of sentient beings, they gradually practice the six perfections, and attain omniscience, they, like leaves, flowers, and fruits, enable all sentient beings to draw near and live. Subhuti, the leaves are what Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas rely on, and completely liberate sentient beings from the three lower realms. The flowers are what Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas rely on, and are born into great and noble royal families, great and noble Brahmin families, great and noble householder families, as well as gods of the Four Great Kings' retinue, the Thirty-three, the No-Conflict, the Tushita, and the Nirmāṇarati.
