Is it the law of duality, or does the law of non-duality turn without observation? The Blessed One said: In the absence of observation, form is also without observation and without attainment. Feeling, thought, formations, and consciousness are also without observation and without attainment. This is the conceptualization of being completely ignorant of non-duality. With these, the dualistic conceptualizations of clinging, nine in number, have been spoken. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is profound! Blessed One, it is also difficult for a Bodhisattva Mahasattva to enter into the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. If one does not observe what is called a sentient being, or what is designated as a sentient being, then for the sake of those sentient beings, they have also rightly entered into the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. Blessed One, just as if someone wanted to grow a sprout on a foundation where there is no space, similarly, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas also desire to attain all-knowingness for the sake of sentient beings. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. It is difficult for a Bodhisattva Mahasattva to rightly enter into the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment for the sake of sentient beings, and having manifestly awakened into all-knowingness, to be completely liberated from clinging to sentient beings as sentient beings. The wisdom that focuses on the absence of things is all-knowingness. Subhuti, just as if someone wanted to grow a sprout, and that person does not observe the root of that sprout, does not observe the branches, trunk, leaves, flowers, and fruit, but grows the trunk of that sprout, watering it from time to time, and that trunk gradually becomes full of branches, becomes full of leaves, becomes full of flowers, becomes full of fruit, and then he enjoys the leaves of that sprout, enjoys the flowers, enjoys the fruit,

Similarly, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas also enter into the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment for the sake of sentient beings. They gradually practice the six perfections and attain omniscience. Like their leaves, flowers, and fruits, all sentient beings will be able to live in close dependence. Subhuti, the leaves are those upon which the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas rely, liberating sentient beings from the three lower realms. The flowers are those upon which the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas rely, being born into great and high Kshatriya families, great and high Brahmin families, great and high Vaishya families, being born as gods in the retinue of the Four Great Kings, the Thirty-three, Yama, Tushita, Nirmāṇarati, Paranirmita-vaśavartin, Brahma's retinue, Brahma's attendants, the Great Brahma, the gods of limited light, the gods of clear light, the gods of immeasurable light, the gods of limited virtue, the gods of increasing virtue, the gods of immeasurable virtue, the cloudless gods, the gods born of merit, the gods of great fruit, the sentient beings without perception, the gods who do not abandon, the gods who do not suffer, the gods of good sight, the gods of excellent sight, the Akaniṣṭha gods, the gods of the realm of limitless space, the gods of the realm of limitless consciousness, the gods of the realm of nothingness, and the gods of the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. The fruits are that the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, having attained omniscience, will establish those sentient beings in the fruit of stream-entry, the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, the state of Arhatship, and establish them in solitary enlightenment. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva relies on that and attains omniscience. Having attained omniscience, all sentient beings will be adorned with fruit. Those who have made offerings to that will also gradually, in this way, either through the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, or the Great Vehicle, pass into complete nirvana through those three vehicles, and manifestly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.

Even if they attain enlightenment, they are not designated as sentient beings. Since there is no designation as sentient beings, these sentient beings are also completely liberated from clinging to sentient beings. Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom in this way, they do not focus on any sentient being with the thought, "I should attain complete omniscience for the sake of this being," nor do they designate them as sentient beings. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should be regarded as the Tathagata. What is the reason for this? World Honored One, it is because, by relying on the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, all hells of sentient beings will be cut off. All realms of animals and all realms of Yama will be cut off. All unfavorable conditions and all evil destinies will be cut off. All poverty will be cut off. All inferior lineages of paths will be cut off. All desire realms will be cut off. All form realms will be cut off. All formless realms will be cut off. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should be regarded as the Tathagata. Subhuti, if the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva did not exist, then the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment of the Buddhas, the World Honored Ones, who have appeared in the past, will appear in the future, and are appearing now, would not exist. Solitary Buddhas would also not appear in the world. Arhats, non-returners, once-returners, and stream-enterers would also not appear in the world. All hells of sentient beings would also not be cut off. All realms of animals and the realm of Yama would also not be cut off. All unfavorable conditions and all poverty would also not be cut off. All inferior beings would not be cut off. All desire realms would also not be cut off. All form realms and all formless realms would also
