That a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should apply himself to the meaning of this Perfection of Wisdom, that is a discrimination which is blind to non-equality. Furthermore, Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, while applying himself to the meaning of this Perfection of Wisdom, should apply himself to the meaning of impermanence. He should apply himself to the meaning of suffering. He should apply himself to the meaning of no-self. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing suffering. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing the origin. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing cessation. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing the path. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing the outflows. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing non-arising. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing the Dharma. He should apply himself to the meaning of following after. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing the conventional. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing the fully conceptualized. He should apply himself to the meaning of knowing as it sounds. Subhuti, that a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should thus apply himself to the meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom, that is a discrimination which is altogether blind to suffering and the rest. Asked: "O Blessed One, if in this Perfection of Wisdom, which is deep, neither meaning nor non-meaning are observed, how then should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva apply himself to the meaning of this Perfection of Wisdom, which is deep?" The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, while applying himself to the meaning of this Perfection of Wisdom, which is deep, should apply himself thus: He should not apply himself to the thought that 'desire is my meaning' or 'is not my meaning'. He should not apply himself to the thought that 'hatred is my meaning' or 'is not my meaning'. He should not apply himself to the thought that 'delusion is my meaning' or 'is not my meaning'. He should not apply himself to the thought that 'desire, hatred and delusion are my meaning' or 'are not my meaning'. He should not apply himself to the thought that 'wrong views are my meaning' or 'are not my meaning'. He should not apply himself to the thought that 'all views are my meaning' or 'are not my meaning'. And why? Because the Suchness of desire, hatred and delusion does not make sense as meaning, nor does it make sense as non-meaning. The Suchness of any aspect of views does not make sense as meaning, does not make sense as meaning, nor does it make sense as non-meaning. Form
