Do not disturb by saying, this is the dharma-nature of dharma-nature itself. This is the limit of the emptiness of the nature of non-things. Do not disturb by saying, this is the dharma-nature of the emptiness of the nature of non-things. These are the mindfulnesses. Do not disturb by saying, this is the dharma-nature of the mindfulnesses. These are the right abandonments, the feet of miracles, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the noble eightfold path. Do not disturb by saying, this is the dharma-nature of the noble eightfold path. This is the limit of the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha. Do not disturb by saying, this is the dharma-nature of the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha. This is omniscience itself. Do not disturb by saying, this is the dharma-nature of omniscience itself. Asked: Blessed One, if it is the case that the dharma-nature of dharmas should not be disturbed, then when the Thus-Gone One teaches that 'this is form,' 'this is feeling,' 'this is perception,' 'these are formations,' and 'this is consciousness,' 'this is the sense base,' 'this is the realm,' 'this is dependent origination,' 'these are the perfections,' 'these are the emptinesses,' 'these are the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment,' 'this is the limit of the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha,' 'this is the limit of omniscience itself,' then, Blessed One, did you not disturb the dharma-nature of dharmas? The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, that is not so. How else would I make others understand? I indicate the dharma-nature of dharmas with names and signs, and I speak of dharmas, but there is no disturbance of the dharma-nature of dharmas. Asked: Blessed One, if the Blessed One indicates the dharma-nature of dharmas with names and signs and speaks of dharmas in order to make others understand, then, Blessed One, since all dharmas are without names and without signs, how can they be designated with names and signs?

That which is called "acting thus" refers to the conceptualization of inverted behavior. These explain the first nine conceptualizations of clinging. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, terminology is not name and characteristic, nor is it attachment. Subhuti, here, it is not done with name and terminology, nor is terminology done with characteristic and attachment. Subhuti, the Tathagata or the Hearer does not cling to name or characteristic. Subhuti, name does not cling to name. Characteristic does not cling to characteristic. Subhuti, if one clings to name, or clings to characteristic, then one will also cling to emptiness. The signless will also cling to the signless. The wishless will also cling to the wishless. Suchness will also cling to suchness. The ultimate reality will also cling to the ultimate reality. The realm of dharma will also cling to the realm of dharma. The unconditioned will also cling to the unconditioned, because all these dharmas are merely names, so they do not abide in names. Subhuti, therefore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should abide in name and characteristic, practice the Prajnaparamita, but should not cling to it. It was reported: Blessed One, if all these conditioned things are merely name and characteristic, then for what purpose do those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas generate the mind of enlightenment? After generating the mind of enlightenment, they experience various kinds of actions and practice the conduct of Bodhisattvas? Practicing the conduct of Bodhisattvas, they completely give various kinds of generosity, keep the precepts, cultivate patience, strive diligently, enter into samadhi, cultivate wisdom, practice all emptiness, practice the mindfulness, the right abandonment, the miraculous feet, the faculties, the powers, and the limbs of enlightenment?

Practicing the Noble Eightfold Path, practicing the Noble Truths, practicing meditation, practicing the immeasurables, practicing the attainments of formless absorption, practicing the eight liberations, practicing the nine successive abidings, practicing emptiness, practicing signlessness, practicing wishlessness, practicing clairvoyance, practicing samadhi, practicing the doors of dharani, practicing the ten powers of the Tathagata, practicing the four fearlessnesses, practicing the four analytical knowledges, practicing great compassion, practicing the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha. (Sixty Sections) The Blessed One said: Subhuti, if all conditioned phenomena are merely names and signs, then why do Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practice the Bodhisattva conduct? Subhuti, it is indeed the case that all conditioned phenomena are merely names and signs. However, name is empty of name, and sign is empty of sign. Therefore, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practice the Bodhisattva conduct and attain all-knowing wisdom. Having attained all-knowing wisdom, they turn the wheel of Dharma. Having turned the wheel of Dharma, they lead sentient beings to nirvana through the three vehicles. They do not perceive birth, destruction, abiding, or change in names and signs. This is a general summary of the second grasping of conceptualization. Request: Blessed One, is it said that all-knowing wisdom is all-knowing wisdom? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is said that all-knowing wisdom is all-knowing wisdom. Request: Blessed One, the Tathagata has spoken of all-knowledge, and has also briefly spoken of knowledge of the aspects of the path. The Tathagata has also spoken of all-knowing wisdom. Blessed One, what is the difference between these three? What is the distinction? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, all-knowing wisdom belongs to the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the perfectly enlightened Buddhas. The knowledge of the aspects of the path belongs to the
