And practice the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom. Practice inner emptiness, and practice up to the emptiness of the nature of non-things. Practice the four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, the four miraculous legs, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, and meditate on the eightfold noble path. Meditate on the four noble truths. Dwell in close practice of the four meditations. The four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the emptiness samadhi, the signless samadhi, and the wishless samadhi. Attain the superknowledges, the samadhis, and the doors of dharani. Cultivate the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and thus manifest complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Having manifested complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, turn the wheel of Dharma. Having thus turned the wheel of Dharma, emanate immeasurable and countless beings and prophesy the three aggregates. Subhuti, what do you think, does the emanation prophesy any beings into the three aggregates? Answer: Blessed One, it is not so. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, likewise, the Tathagata knows all dharmas as like illusions, and understands them. Having known them as like illusions, there is no attachment to any being, no taming. Subhuti, therefore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should practice the Prajnaparamita in this way, like the illusion of the Tathagata. Question: Blessed One, if all dharmas are like illusions, then the Tathagata and the illusion

Son, what is the difference between the Tathagata and the emanation? What are you considering? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, there is no difference or distinction between the Tathagata and the emanation. Subhuti, there is no difference between the Tathagata and the emanation. Why is that? Subhuti, it is like this, whatever activities the Tathagata performs, the emanation also performs. He reported: Blessed One, if the Tathagata does not abide in the world, will the emanation also act? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it will act. He reported: Blessed One, if the Tathagata does not abide in the world, how will the emanation act? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, for example, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, with peaceful wisdom, without seeing the Bodhisattva, emanates the body of the Tathagata, and completely enters Nirvana. Therefore, the emanation performs the actions of a Buddha for one kalpa, and afterwards prophesies to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and although it is proclaimed to completely enter Nirvana, the emanation has neither birth nor Nirvana. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should, like this, believe that all dharmas are like illusions, and practice the Prajnaparamita, which is the conceptualization of the three vehicles. He reported: Blessed One, if that is the case, and there is no difference between the emanation and the Tathagata, then how can the offering be completely purified? Blessed One, if sentient beings seek merit and pursue Nirvana, and make offerings to the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, then the offering will never be exhausted until those sentient beings completely enter Nirvana in the realm of no residue. Blessed One, is it also the case that if offerings are made to the emanation of the Tathagata, those sentient beings will never be exhausted until they completely enter Nirvana in the realm of no residue? The Blessed One said: Subhuti.

Furthermore, by whatever dharma-nature the Tathagata becomes the object of offerings for the world including the gods, by that same dharma-nature, the emanation also becomes the object of offerings for the world including the gods. Subhuti, let alone offering to the Tathagata, offering to the emanation of the Tathagata is also the same. Subhuti, any son or daughter of good family who, with loving-kindness, remembers the Tathagata, all of them, without reaching the limit of that root of virtue, will reach the limit of suffering. Subhuti, let alone remembering with loving-kindness. Subhuti, any son or daughter of good family who remembers the Tathagata, if they scatter flowers in the sky, all of them, without reaching the limit of that root of virtue, will reach the limit of suffering. Subhuti, let alone remembering with loving-kindness, let alone scattering flowers in the sky. Subhuti, any son or daughter of good family who says, "I prostrate to the Buddha," all of them will gradually reach the limit of suffering, Subhuti, offering to the Tathagata and offering to the emanation are thus of great significance and thus of great benefit. Subhuti, in that way, if one strives for the dharma-nature of all dharmas, then one should know that there is no difference between the Tathagata and the emanation of the Tathagata, which is an impure conceptualization. Subhuti, thus a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should comprehend the dharma-nature of all dharmas and should practice the Perfection of Wisdom. One should also not disturb the dharma-nature of all dharmas, one should not disturb "This is the Perfection of Wisdom, this is the dharma-nature of the Perfection of Wisdom." This is the Perfection of Dhyana, this is the Perfection of Diligence, this is the Perfection of Patience, this is the Perfection of Morality, this is the Perfection of Generosity. One should also not disturb "This is the dharma-nature of the Perfection of Generosity." This is inner emptiness, this is inner empti
