With great courage, he abides in the perfection of generosity and fully upholds the perfection of meditation. Asked: "Venerable Lord, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva skillfully give completely and fully uphold the Perfection of Wisdom?" The Lord replied: "Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva gives and completely gives, he constantly abides with the wisdom of illusion in generosity, and does not see whether this generosity benefits or does not benefit any sentient being. Moreover, he does not dedicate those roots of virtue to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but having made them common with all sentient beings, he dedicates them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. How does he dedicate? That is, he does not hold onto the three concepts of what he dedicates with, what he dedicates to, and where he dedicates to, and thus he dedicates. Subhuti, thus a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva skillfully abides in the perfection of generosity and fully upholds the Perfection of Wisdom." Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Lord: "Venerable Lord, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abide in the perfection of morality and fully uphold the perfection of generosity?" The Lord replied: "Subhuti, here, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abiding in the perfection of morality, whether it is the discipline of body, speech, or mind, does not cling to the ground of Shravakas or the ground of Pratyekabuddhas with that discipline. Abiding in the perfection of morality, he does not kill the lives of sentient beings, does not take what is not given, does not engage in sexual misconduct, does not speak falsely, does not speak divisive or harsh words, does not speak idle chatter, does not generate covetousness, does not generate harmful thoughts, and does not have wrong views. He abides in the perfection of morality, and gives food to those who want food, gives drink to those who want drink, gives vehicles to those who want vehicles, gives clothes to those who want clothes, gives flowers to those who want flowers, and gives garlands to those who want garlands."

If someone desires incense, give incense. If someone desires ointment, give ointment. If someone desires bedding, give bedding. If someone desires a dwelling, give a dwelling. If someone desires sustenance, give sustenance. If someone desires utensils, give utensils. From giving all kinds of human utensils to whatever a person desires, give all those human utensils completely. When giving in this way, do not dedicate that giving to the state of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Instead, share it in common with all sentient beings and dedicate it to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Asked: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abide in the perfection of morality and fully uphold the perfection of patience? The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, in this case, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in the perfection of morality, all sentient beings, even gods, come and cut off limbs and joints. Even so, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not become agitated and does not generate even a single thought of harm. On the other hand, he thinks to himself: 'In this way, all sentient beings cutting off my limbs and joints is a good thing that I have obtained well. By completely abandoning this decaying body of mine, I will obtain the Tathagata's body made of divine substance, diamond.' Moreover, he does not dedicate those roots of virtue to Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Instead, he shares them in common with all sentient beings and dedicates them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Moreover, when dedicating in this way, he does not engage in the three concepts of how to dedicate, with what to dedicate, and to where to dedicate. He dedicates in that way. It is. Question: World Honored One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abide in the perfection of discipline and fully uphold the perfection of diligence? The World Honored One said: Rabjor, in this case, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the perfection of discipline, thinking: I shall liberate sentient beings from samsara and place them in the realm of immortality. Without diminishing the diligence of body and mind, he dedicates that root of virtue to unexcelled perfect enlightenment. How does he dedicate it? With what does he dedicate it? Where does he dedicate it? He dedicates it without engaging in these three notions. Rabjor, in this way, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the perfection of discipline and fully upholds the perfection of diligence. Question: World Honored One, how does a Bodhisattva Maha sattva abide in the perfection of discipline and fully uphold the perfection of meditative concentration? The World Honored One said: Rabjor, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva enters the first dhyana, enters the second dhyana, enters the third dhyana, enters the fourth dhyana, and even enters into cessation, he does not focus on the ground of the Hearers or the ground of the Solitary Buddhas. Otherwise, he thinks to himself: I shall abide in this perfection of meditative concentration and completely liberate all sentient beings from samsara. He also does not dedicate those roots of virtue to the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but shares them with all sentient beings and dedicates them to unexcelled perfect enlightenment. How does he dedicate it? With what does he dedicate it? Where does he dedicate it? He dedicates it without engaging in these three notions.
