The merit of that is immeasurable. Kausika, the great oceans of the three-thousand great thousand world realms, however many great masses of water there are, those masses of water might be measured by the amount of water taken up by one part of a hair split into a hundred parts. However, the merit of generating the mind with rejoicing in those is immeasurable. Thus it was said, and the lord of the gods, Indra, said this to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, those beings who do not rejoice in those who generate the mind are blessed by Mara. Bhagavan, those beings who do not rejoice in those who generate the mind have become the retinue of Mara. Bhagavan, those beings who do not rejoice in those who generate the mind have died and transmigrated from the place of Mara. Why is that? Bhagavan, those beings who accomplish this generation of the mind and dedicate it to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment will destroy the place of Mara. Those who rejoice in the generation of the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, I rejoice in those who generate the mind. Those who have not abandoned the Buddha, have not abandoned the Dharma, and have not abandoned the Sangha, I rejoice in their generation of the mind. Having rejoiced, I will dedicate it to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, just as it does not become a dualistic concept, nor does it become a non-dualistic concept, so I will dedicate it completely. The Bhagavan said: Kausika, it is just so, it is just so, just as you have said. Kausika, those who have rejoiced in these who generate the mind will quickly please the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfect and complete Buddhas, and having pleased them, they will not be discouraged. Therefore, those who possess the roots of virtue of generating the mind with rejoicing, wherever they are

They will be honored and respected in those places. They will be revered. They will be esteemed. They will be offered to. They will never see unpleasant forms. They will never hear unpleasant sounds. They will never perceive unpleasant smells. They will never touch unpleasant tactile sensations. They will never know unpleasant dharmas. They will never be separated from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, but will go from Buddha-field to Buddha-field, attending to those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and accumulating roots of virtue. Why is that? Kausika, it is because those sons and daughters of good families rejoice in the roots of virtue of the immeasurable, countless, and limitless Bodhisattvas, the great beings who have newly entered the Great Vehicle, and dedicate them entirely to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. They rejoice in the roots of virtue of those who abide in the first ground, the roots of virtue of those who abide in the second ground, the roots of virtue of those who abide in the third ground, the roots of virtue of those who abide in the fourth ground, the roots of virtue of those who abide in the tenth ground, and the roots of virtue of the Bodhisattvas, the great beings who are bound by one lifetime, and because of the increase of those roots of virtue, they are close to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. They are close to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, they will completely liberate immeasurable, countless, and limitless beings from suffering. Kausika, in this way, therefore, a son or daughter of good family should rejoice in the roots of virtue of those Bodhisattvas, the great beings who have generated the first thought, and dedicate them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and should dedicate them completely in such a way that they do not transfer to other minds. And practices, and non-returning.

Having rejoiced in those roots of virtue of those who are irreversible and those who are bound by one birth, one should dedicate them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. One should dedicate them in such a way that the mind does not move to another place, which is called the mind abiding in all places. Having rejoiced in the roots of virtue of those who are irreversible and those who are bound by one birth, from rejoicing onwards, one should dedicate them to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. One should dedicate them in such a way that they do not transform into the consciousness of two, and do not transform into the consciousness of non-duality, which is called relying on the aspect of the first arising of the conceptualization of the apprehended. Then, the venerable Shariputra said this to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, is it only the Perfection of Wisdom that is non-conceptual? Or are the Perfection of Meditation, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Discipline, and the Perfection of Generosity also non-conceptual? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, the Perfection of Wisdom is non-conceptual. The Perfection of Meditation is also non-conceptual. The Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Discipline, and the Perfection of Generosity are also non-conceptual. He said: Venerable Subhuti, is form also not non-conceptual? Are feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness also non-conceptual? Are the sense bases, the elements, and dependent origination also non-conceptual? Are the perfections also non-conceptual? Is all emptiness also non-conceptual? Are the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment also non-conceptual? Are the noble truths, the meditations, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions also non-conceptual? Are the liberations and the gradual abidings also non-conceptual?
