Abiding in the perfections, they bring beings to complete maturity, and beings thus brought to complete maturity are completely liberated from the three lower realms, and even from all of samsara. Furthermore, Subhuti, the bodhisattva mahasattva, abiding in the perfection of discipline, should thus bring beings to complete maturity. I will provide you with the conditions that would cause you to act with poor discipline due to lacking certain conditions: food, drink, clothing, vehicles, bedding, flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, human connections, and any kind of equipment, even up to the seven precious things, should be given, and they should be selected and taught to benefit beings. He abides in the perfection of discipline, and benefits those beings in that way, and by benefiting them in that way, he causes them to properly take up and abide in the path of the ten virtuous actions. They abide in the discipline of vows that is unbroken, unmixed, faultless, undeteriorated, independent, praised by the wise, utterly complete, and becomes the cause of samadhi, and they abide in the six perfections. Abiding in all emptiness and the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, they attain complete omniscience. Furthermore, Subhuti, the bodhisattva mahasattva, abiding in the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom, when seeing beings who have become foolish in wisdom and are small-minded, should thus bring them to complete maturity. I will provide you with the conditions that would cause you to become foolish in wisdom due to lacking certain conditions: food, drink, clothing, vehicles, bedding, flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, human connections, and any kind of equipment, even up to the seven precious things, should be given. He abides in the perfection of wisdom, and benefits those beings in that way, and by benefiting them in that way, he makes them free from delusion and endowed with wisdom.

Those who have transformed abide in the perfection of wisdom, abide in the six perfections, abide in all emptiness, abide in the dharmas of enlightenment, abide in the noble truths, abide in meditation, abide in the immeasurables, abide in the formless absorptions, abide in liberation, abide in the successive abidings, abide in emptiness, abide in the signless, abide in the wishless, abide in clairvoyance, abide in samadhi, abide in the doors of dharani. Abide in the ten powers of the Tathagata, abide in the four fearlessnesses, abide in the four analytical knowledges, Abide in great love, abide in great compassion, abide in the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, and attain omniscience. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in the perfection of wisdom, and completely matures sentient beings, and those who are thus completely matured are completely liberated from the three lower realms, and even completely liberated from all samsara. Then, the venerable Subhuti thought to himself: If a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is to attain such a result, then what is the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? Then, the Blessed One, knowing all the thoughts in the mind of the venerable Subhuti, said to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, the six perfections are the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Subhuti, all emptiness is the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Subhuti, the noble truths, meditation, the four immeasurables, the formless absorptions, liberation, the successive abidings, emptiness, the signless, the wishless, clairvoyance, samadhi, and all the doors of dharani are the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva.

The four fears and the four individual perfect knowledges, as well as great love and great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, are the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Furthermore, Subhuti, all dharmas are also the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Subhuti, what do you think? Is there any dharma for which a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should not train, and without training in which he can manifest and perfectly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? Subhuti, there is no such dharma for which a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should not train. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has not trained in all dharmas cannot attain omniscience. Subhuti asked: World-Honored One, if all dharmas are empty, how should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva train in all dharmas? World-Honored One, is saying "there are this many," or saying "these are," or saying "worldly dharmas are these," or saying "transcendental dharmas are these," or saying "defiled dharmas are these," or saying "undefiled dharmas are these," or saying "conditioned dharmas are these," or saying "unconditioned dharmas are these," or saying "dharmas of ordinary beings are these," or saying "dharmas of stream-enterers are these," or saying "dharmas of once-returners, non-returners, and arhats are these," or saying "dharmas of solitary realizers are these," or saying "dharmas of Bodhisattvas are these," or saying "dharmas of Buddhas are these" not just increasing elaboration? The World-Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. All dharmas are empty. Subhuti, if all dharmas were not empty of inherent existence, then a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva would not train in all dharmas and manifest and perfectly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Subhuti, because all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, therefore a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva trains in all dharmas and manifests and perfectly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete.
