O! I vow in the place of supreme greatness. I proclaim the lion's roar in the assembly. In this world, whether it be a renunciate, a Brahmin, a god, a demon, Brahma, or anyone else, none can turn the wheel of Dharma as I do; I shall turn it well. These are the four fearlessnesses. What are the four distinct perfect knowledges of the Tathagata? They are: distinct perfect knowledge of meaning, distinct perfect knowledge of Dharma, distinct perfect knowledge of terms, and distinct perfect knowledge of eloquence. What are these? They are focusing on meaning, focusing on Dharma, focusing on terms, and focusing on eloquence. Noble son, what are the three non-protections of the Tathagata? The Tathagata's bodily conduct is completely pure and complete. The Tathagata has no impure bodily conduct, and he has no intention to conceal anything that others might know. The Tathagata has none of this; this is the first non-protection. The Tathagata's speech is completely pure and complete. The Tathagata's speech is completely pure and complete. The Tathagata has no impure speech, and he has no intention to conceal anything that others might know. The Tathagata has none of this; this is the second non-protection. The Tathagata's mind is completely pure and complete. The Tathagata has no impure mind, and he has no intention to conceal anything that others might know. The Tathagata has none of this; this is the third non-protection. What are the three mindfulnesses of the Tathagata? When the Tathagata teaches the Dharma, some listen attentively and respectfully, their minds dwelling on listening, and they draw near to the Dharma and diligently practice it, yet they do not please the Tathagata, their minds are not content, and their minds are not distracted. This is the first mindfulness. Some do not listen attentively and respectfully, their minds do not dwell on listening, and they do not draw near to the Dharma nor diligently practice it.

Even so, it will not make the Tathagata angry, will not make him impatient, will not make him displeased, this is the second mindfulness of the Tathagata. Some listen attentively and respectfully, focusing their minds on the Dharma and the Dharma to be cultivated, and diligently practice it; some listen attentively but do not listen respectfully, nor do they focus their minds on the Dharma and the Dharma to be cultivated, nor do they diligently practice it, but this will not make the Tathagata happy or angry, because for everything, he has mindfulness and practices with equanimity in knowledge, this is the third mindfulness. What is the immutable nature of the Tathagata? Because the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, in order to teach the meaningful Dharma, do not go beyond the time of benefiting all sentient beings, this is called the immutable nature. What is the complete abandonment of the obscuration of habits of the Tathagata? All the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, although they have abandoned the afflictions, still have the transformation of the body, but the Tathagata does not have such a thing, this is called the complete abandonment of the obscuration of habits. What is the great compassion of the Tathagata? The great compassion of the Tathagata, with which he grasps the language of the world, and in order to observe the roots of virtue, he always contemplates the world three times during the day and three times during the night, that is to say, in reality, the great compassion of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, constantly observes in order to fully ripen infinite sentient beings, this is called the great compassion of the Tathagata. Subhuti, what are the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha of the Tathagata? The Tathagata has no confusion, no clamor, no loss of mindfulness, no various perceptions, no unequal mind, no undiscriminating equanimity, no complete loss of aspiration, no complete loss of diligence, no complete loss of mindfulness, no complete loss of samadhi, no complete loss of wisdom.

There is not. There is no complete loss of liberation. There is no complete loss of the wisdom vision of liberation. All the activities of the body are preceded by wisdom, and follow wisdom. All the activities of speech are preceded by wisdom, and follow wisdom. All the activities of mind are preceded by wisdom, and follow wisdom. For the past time, the wisdom vision without attachment or obstruction enters. For the future time, the wisdom image without attachment or obstruction enters. Thus, in the moment of arising, the wisdom vision without attachment or obstruction enters, and those are the things that are not mixed with the Buddha's Dharma. Subhuti, what is the Tathagata's knowledge of all aspects? That which has no object of focus, is controlled by mindfulness, possesses the aspect of peace, the characteristic of no characteristics is called the knowledge of all aspects. Chapter Sixty-Seven. So, what are the thirty-two major marks of a great being of the Tathagata? Having the marks of wheels on the hands and feet, feet that are very stable, hands and feet connected by a web, hands and feet that are youthful and soft, ankles that are very high, long fingers, wide heels, a body that is large and upright, a well-raised instep, body hair that curls upwards, like the thighs of an antelope, hands that reach the knees, the secret place is hidden, the color of gold, skin that is very smooth, each hair curling to the right, a face adorned with a white hair, like the upper body of a lion, shoulders perfectly formed, shoulder blades that are very full, the best of tastes, spreading like a banyan tree, a head with a protuberance, a tongue that is very broad, the voice of Brahma, like the jaws of a lion, teeth that are very white, teeth that are very even, teeth that are well-aligned, teeth that are even and complete with forty, eyes with clear black and white, like the eyelashes of a cow. So, the palms of the Tathagata's hands and feet have wheels with a thousand spokes, with rims and hubs, all forms
