Or the gods, or the fruit of stream-enterer, or the fruit of once-returner, or the fruit of non-returner, or the Arhat himself, or the Pratyekabuddha, or the power of the wheel-turning king, he does not hold the supreme view that he should obtain it through this discipline. Furthermore, that discipline is made common to all sentient beings, and is dedicated to the all-knowingness itself with a signless dedication, an objectless dedication, and a non-dual dedication. That is also in the worldly convention, but not in the ultimate truth. He perfects that perfection of discipline, and skillfully cultivates the four dhyanas in a way that does not taste the flavor. He manifests the divine eye, and with the divine eye born from the ripening of the divine eye, he sees all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who dwell, live, and teach the Dharma in the immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable world realms of the eastern direction. That seeing of his will not be exhausted until he attains the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. With the divine eye born from the ripening of the divine eye, he sees all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who dwell, live, and teach the Dharma in the immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable world realms of each of the southern, western, northern, northeastern, southeastern, southwestern, northwestern, lower, and upper directions. That seeing of his will not be exhausted until he attains the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. He hears the sounds spoken by those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, with the pure and transcendent divine ear realm, and that hearing of his will not be exhausted until that hearing accomplishes the benefit of himself and others. He knows the minds of those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, with the knowledge of the mind, and that knowledge of the mind will not be exhausted until that knowledge of the mind accomplishes the benefit of all sentient beings.

Through the wisdom of remembering previous abodes, one knows the past and future roots of virtue of those beings, and with those roots of virtue, one truly shows those beings, truly encourages them, truly praises them, and truly makes them happy. Those who have been so truly shown and made happy will also become extraordinary. Through the wisdom of the exhaustion of defilements, one also leads beings to the fruit of stream-entry, the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, and the state of Arhat. Self- awakening is also led to, awakening is also led to. Likewise, beings are led to whatever virtuous Dharma they have the power for. Subhuti, thus, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, with a mind free from signs, he perfects the Perfection of Morality. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, how does one perfect the Perfection of Patience in those who are without signs, without objects, and without fear? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, with a mind free from signs, from the initial generation of the mind until dwelling under the Bodhi tree, all beings repeatedly come before him, striking him with stones and tiles, and stabbing him with weapons, yet that Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not give even the slightest opportunity to generate a mind of anger. That Bodhisattva Mahasattva should cultivate two patiences. What are the two? Namely, being able to endure all beings who strike with insults, tiles, fists, and so on, and generating patience towards these unborn Dharmas. When that Bodhisattva Mahasattva is struck with insults, accusations, fists, tiles, and so on, he should separately examine thus: The one who insults me,

One should examine individually in this way: Who is it that is piercing, striking with sticks, clods of earth, and weapons? He should examine the nature of all dharmas individually. If, upon examining all dharmas individually, the nature of dharma is not found, then where is the nature of dharmas to be found? One should examine in this way. When one thus individually contemplates the nature of dharmas, one thinks, 'Who is it that is piercing or cutting me?' When he thus contemplates the nature of dharmas, he greatly obtains forbearance towards unborn dharmas. Why is it called forbearance? Because afflictions do not arise and wisdom is not cut off, therefore forbearance is forbearance towards unborn dharmas. He abides in these two forbearances and perfects the four dhyanas. The four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, the eightfold noble path, the three doors of liberation, the superknowledges, samadhi, the doors of dharani, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the unmixed dharmas of the Buddhas are all perfected. He abides in these undefiled, transcendental noble dharmas, which are not common to all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and thus perfects the noble superknowledges. Having perfected these superknowledges, he will correctly accomplish the six perfections. Abiding in these superknowledges, with the divine eye he sees in the immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable world realms of the eastern direction how many Buddhas, Bhagavat, abide and nurture, and teach the Dharma, and he sees all of them. Having seen those Buddhas, Bhagavat, he obtains mindfulness of the Buddha. That mindfulness of the Buddha will never cease until he manifestly attains unsurpassable, perfect, complete enlightenment. Similarly,
