When giving, think like this: "With this Dharma giving, may all sentient beings completely possess the intention to be endowed with that Dharma." After thinking like this, dedicate this Dharma giving together with all sentient beings to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who possesses these aspects, these characteristics, and these signs should be known as irreversible. This is the fifth sign of irreversibility, abiding in the limb of ascertainment. Furthermore, Subhuti, an irreversible Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has no doubts, no hesitations, and no uncertainties about the profound Dharma. Subhuti asked: "Bhagavan, for what reason does an irreversible Bodhisattva-Mahasattva have no hesitations, no uncertainties, and no doubts about the profound Dharma?" The Bhagavan replied: "Subhuti, it is because an irreversible Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not truly see any Dharma. They do not truly see form, feeling, perception, formations, or consciousness, which could give rise to hesitation, doubt, or uncertainty; nor do they see aggregates, elements, sense bases, dependent origination, or the limbs of dependent origination. They do not truly see the perfections, emptiness, all liberations, samadhi, meditative absorptions, dharani gates, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, immeasurables, concentrations, formless absorptions, noble truths, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the ten powers of the Tathagata, fearlessness, analytical knowledge, or the unshared qualities of the Buddha. They do not truly see unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who possesses these aspects, these characteristics, and these signs should be known as irreversible. This is abiding in the limb of ascertainment.

It should be known that this is the tenth sign of non-retrogression, residing in the branch of determination. Furthermore, Manjushri, a non-retrogressing Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has no stinginess or regret regarding the enjoyment of Dharma robes. Manjushri, a non-retrogressing Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possesses the practice of universal pure conduct, is purified by universal conduct, and has few illnesses. Manjushri, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who possesses these aspects, these signs, and these characteristics should be known as non-retrogressing, and this is the eleventh sign of non-retrogression, residing in the branch of determination. Furthermore, Manjushri, if there are eighty thousand kinds of insects living in and eating the body of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, these will not exist in the body of a non-retrogressing Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Why is that? Manjushri, it is because the roots of virtue of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva are manifestly superior to all the worlds. Therefore, those eighty thousand kinds of insects do not exist in the body of that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Manjushri, as the roots of virtue of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva increase, the body of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva becomes completely pure, pure and completely pure, and the mind becomes completely pure. Manjushri, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who possesses these aspects, these signs, and these characteristics should be known as non-retrogressing, and this is the twelfth sign of non-retrogression, residing in the branch of determination. After this was said, the venerable Manjushri asked the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, how is the body of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely pure? How is it pure and completely pure? How is the mind completely pure? The Bhagavan replied: Manjushri, as the roots of virtue of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva increase,
