Not grasped. Not grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom. Likewise, not grasped by even the All-Knowingness, one falls into the Hearer's stage or the Solitary Buddha's stage. That does not arise in All-Knowingness. Rabjor, thus, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is not grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom and skillful means, they fall into the Hearer's and Solitary Buddha's stages. Rabjor, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom and skillful means, not fall into the Hearer's stage or the Solitary Buddha's stage, and achieve the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment? Rabjor, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva initially gives alms, they give alms with a mind that does not fall into self and what belongs to self. They keep the precepts with a mind that does not fall into self and what belongs to self. They cultivate patience with a mind that does not fall into self and what belongs to self. They exert effort with a mind that does not fall into self and what belongs to self. They meditate with a mind that does not fall into self and what belongs to self. They cultivate wisdom with a mind that does not fall into self and what belongs to self. They do not think, 'I am giving alms, this is alms, I am giving alms to this.' They do not think, 'I am keeping the precepts, these are the precepts, I am keeping the precepts for these.' I cultivate patience, this is patience, I cultivate patience for these. I exert effort, this is effort, I exert effort for these. I enter into the meditations, I enter into the meditations for these, I enter into the meditations for these. I cultivate wisdom, this is wisdom, I cultivate wisdom for this purpose. They do not think thus, they do not become arrogant with giving, they do not become arrogant with giving, I do not become arrogant with giving alms. They do not become arrogant with precepts, they do not become arrogant with precepts.

Do not. I do not boast that I am endowed with morality. Do not be arrogant with patience. Do not be arrogant with patience. I am endowed with patience, and I do not boast about it. Do not be arrogant with diligence. Do not be arrogant with diligence. I am endowed with diligence, and I do not boast about it. Do not be arrogant with meditation. Do not be arrogant with meditation. I am endowed with meditation, and I do not boast about it. Do not be arrogant with wisdom. Do not be arrogant with wisdom. I am endowed with wisdom, and I do not boast about it. Why is that? Because those discriminations that give rise to pride do not exist in the perfection of generosity. Similarly, those discriminations that give rise to pride do not exist in the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation. Thus, those discriminations that become pride do not exist in the perfection of wisdom. Why is that? Because the perfection of wisdom is far gone. In this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva will not be arrogant with this side or the other side, because he is completely grasped by the perfection of generosity, and by the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom, and is completely grasped until the all-knowingness, so he will not fall into the ground of the hearers or the self-Buddhas, and he will also attain the all-knowingness. Subhuti, in this way, the person of the Bodhisattva vehicle is completely grasped by the perfection of wisdom, and is completely grasped by skillful means, so he will not fall into the ground of the hearers or the self-Buddhas, and thus being completely grasped by skillful means, he will reach the unsurpassed.

The statement "I shall attain perfect and complete enlightenment" is the third moment of the distinctive path of complete possession. Thus he spoke, and the venerable Subhuti addressed the Blessed One as follows: "Blessed One, how should a bodhisattva mahasattva who is a beginner in the path train in the perfection of wisdom? How should he train in the perfection of meditative concentration? How should he train in the perfection of diligence? How should he train in the perfection of patience? How should he train in the perfection of morality? How should he train in the perfection of generosity? How should he train up to the unmixed qualities of the Buddhas?" The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, here, a bodhisattva mahasattva who is a beginner in the path, if he wishes to train in the perfection of wisdom, in the perfection of meditative concentration, in the perfection of diligence, in the perfection of patience, in the perfection of morality, in the perfection of generosity, and if he wishes to train up to the state of all-knowingness, should rely on and attend to those virtuous friends who are teachers of the perfection of wisdom, the perfection of meditative concentration, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of patience, the perfection of morality, and the perfection of generosity. He should serve and honor them. They will teach the perfection of wisdom in this way: 'Son of good family, whatever generosity you give, dedicate all of it to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment.' Son of good family, whatever morality you guard, whatever patience you cultivate, whatever diligence you exert, whatever meditative concentration you enter into, and whatever wisdom you cultivate, dedicate all of that to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Son of good family, do not seek unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment through the door of form. Do not seek it from feeling. Do not seek it from perception. Do not seek it from formations. Do not seek it from consciousness.
