That which has not been heard or fully questioned between the nature of and emptiness, when this profound Prajñāpāramitā is taught, upon hearing it, one becomes dull, becomes foolish, and the mind becomes discouraged. Furthermore, Subhuti, whichever Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has not fully questioned or heard the four mindfulnesses in the prior extreme, when this profound Prajñāpāramitā is taught, upon hearing it, one becomes dull, becomes foolish, and the mind becomes discouraged. Furthermore, Subhuti, whichever Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has not heard the four right abandonments, the four miraculous feet, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, and the eight noble path branches in the prior extreme, and has not fully questioned them upon hearing them, when this profound Prajñāpāramitā is taught, upon hearing it, one becomes dull, becomes foolish, the mind becomes discouraged, and the state of mind changes. Furthermore, Subhuti, whichever Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has not heard the four meditations, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the four noble truths, the five superknowledges, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, all samādhis, all dhāraṇī gates, the ten Bodhisattva grounds, the ten powers of the Tathāgata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha in the prior extreme, and has not fully questioned them upon hearing them, when this profound Prajñāpāramitā is taught, upon hearing it, one becomes dull, becomes foolish, the mind becomes discouraged, and the state of mind changes. Furthermore, Subhuti, whichever person, Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, has not heard or fully questioned the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in the prior extreme, when this profound Prajñāpāramitā is taught, one becomes dull, becomes foolish, and the mind becomes discouraged.

Furthermore, Subhuti, any Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who, in the past, has not heard, inquired, practiced, extensively expounded, or properly attended to this profound Perfection of Wisdom for one day, two days, three days, four days, five days, six days, or ten days, will be robbed of this profound Perfection of Wisdom and will be separated from the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Subhuti, it is like this: Any Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who, in the past, has not heard, inquired, practiced, extensively expounded, or properly attended to this profound Perfection of Wisdom will intermittently delight in this profound Perfection of Wisdom and intermittently not delight in it. They will also be robbed of their minds by extreme slowness, like fine motes of cottonwood. Subhuti, know that such a person, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, has not entered the Great Vehicle for a long time, is not embraced by a virtuous friend, and has not made offerings to a Fully Awakened One. Subhuti, that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva has not received the words of this profound Perfection of Wisdom, has not recited them, has not properly attended to them, and has not trained in the Perfection of Wisdom. They have not trained in the Perfection of Dhyana, the Perfection of Effort, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Morality, or the Perfection of Generosity. They have not trained in inner emptiness. They have not trained in emptiness of the nature of non-things. They have not trained in the mindfulness establishments. They have not trained in the right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, or the Noble Eightfold Path. They have not trained in the five superknowledges, the immeasurables, the dhyanas, the formless attainments, the noble truths, or the eight liberations. They have not trained in the nine successive abidings in meditative equipoise, or emptiness.

and the signless, etc., were not trained. Supernormal knowledge was not trained. Samādhis, etc., and the doors of dhāraṇī were not trained. The powers of the Thus-Gone One, etc., and the fearlessnesses, etc., and the individual correct knowledges, etc., and the eighteen unshared qualities of a buddha were not trained. All-knowledge was not trained. Chapter Forty-Six. Subhūti, that bodhisattva mahāsattva should be known as newly entered into the vehicle. He merely has faith and joy in this Dharma. He is unable to write, recite, read, or properly attend to this profound Perfection of Wisdom. Subhūti, sons of good family or daughters of good family of the bodhisattva vehicle will not copy this profound Perfection of Wisdom. They will not recite it. They will not read it. They will not properly attend to it. They will not benefit others with this profound Perfection of Wisdom. Likewise, they will not benefit others with the Perfection of Meditation, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Generosity, and even with all-knowledge. They will not practice in accordance with this profound Perfection of Wisdom. Likewise, they will not practice in accordance with the Perfection of Meditation, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Generosity, and even with all-knowledge. Those ones should desire one ground from the other two grounds, namely, the ground of a śrāvaka or the ground of a pratyekabuddha. Why is that? Because those sons of good family or daughters of good family have not written, taught, read, or properly attended to this profound Perfection of Wisdom in the past, nor have they benefited anyone with this Perfection of Wisdom. That bodhisattva mahāsattva's Perfection of Wisdom
