For the sake of doing, for the sake of making a lama, for the sake of making intimacy, for the sake of making offerings, for the sake of making remembrance, for the sake of making reverence, for the sake of making following, and for the sake of making complete protection. Subhuti, one should regard the Tathagata's knowing what has been done and perceiving what has been done as knowing through reverence and so forth. Furthermore, Subhuti, because the Tathagata is without an agent, he has manifestly awakened to all dharmas as unmade. Because he is without a body, he has manifestly awakened to the unmade. Subhuti, this also should be regarded as the Tathagata's knowing what has been done and perceiving what has been done, which is knowing the absence of an agent. Furthermore, Subhuti, relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, the Tathagata's knowing the absence of an agent enters through the sign of non-entry into all dharmas. Therefore, Subhuti, in that way, the Perfection of Wisdom is what gives birth to the Tathagata. It is what shows this world, which is knowing all that goes forth. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, when all dharmas have no knower and no seer,

Because of not seeing, it is declared. Similarly, because there is no seer of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, it is declared. Because there is no seeing of aggregates, elements, sources, and dependent arising, it is declared. Similarly, it is declared because there is no seeing up to the all-knowingness. Subhuti, thus, the Perfection of Wisdom is what gives birth to the Tathagatas. It is what declares this world. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, how does one declare for the sake of the invisibility of form? How does one declare for the sake of the non-existence of the seer of feeling, perception, and formations, and how does one declare for the sake of consciousness? How does one declare for the sake of the invisibility of aggregates, elements, sources, and dependent arising? How does one declare for the sake of the invisibility up to the all-knowingness? Chapter Forty-Five The Blessed One said: Subhuti, when the consciousness that clings to form does not arise, then it is declared for the sake of the invisibility of form. Similarly, when the consciousness that clings to feeling, perception, and formations, and when the consciousness that clings to consciousness does not arise, then it is declared for the sake of the invisibility of consciousness. When the consciousness that clings to aggregates, elements, sources, and dependent arising does not arise, then, it is declared for the sake of the invisibility of dependent arising. When the consciousness that clings to the perfections does not arise, then it is declared for the sake of the invisibility of the perfections and so on. When the consciousness that clings to emptiness and so on, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the noble truths, the immeasurables, the meditations, the formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the gradual abidings,

The nine successive stages, and the doors of liberation, emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and the five superknowledges, and the doors of form, and the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One, and the fearlessnesses, and the individual correct knowledges, and when the consciousness that focuses on the unshared qualities of the Buddha does not arise, then it is taught because the unshared qualities of the Buddha are not seen. Subhuti, when the consciousness that focuses on all-aspects-knowing does not arise, then it is taught because all-aspects-knowing is not seen. Subhuti, thus, this profound Perfection of Wisdom is the mother of the Thus-Gone One, and it is the demonstrator of this world, and it is known as demonstrating the meaning of the unseen. Subhuti, furthermore, how is this profound Perfection of Wisdom the mother of the Thus-Gone One, and the demonstrator of this world? Subhuti, in this Perfection of Wisdom, it is said: "The world is empty." How is it said: "The world is empty"? It is said: "The world of the five aggregates is empty." "The world of the twelve sense bases is empty." "The world of the eighteen elements is empty." "The world of the path of the ten virtuous actions is empty."
