That is why. Subhuti, as far as the former limit between all-knowingness itself is concerned, it is neither bound nor liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of the insubstantiality of the former limit is all-knowingness itself. Subhuti, the latter limit of form is neither bound nor liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of the insubstantiality of the latter limit is form. Subhuti, the latter limit of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness is neither bound nor liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of the insubstantiality of the latter limit is consciousness. Subhuti, as far as the latter limit between all-knowingness itself is concerned, it is neither bound nor liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of the insubstantiality of the latter limit is all-knowingness itself. Subhuti, the present arising of form is neither bound nor liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of the insubstantiality of the present arising is form. Subhuti, the present arising of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness is neither bound nor liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of the insubstantiality of the present arising is consciousness. Subhuti, as far as the present arising between all-knowingness itself is concerned, it is neither bound nor liberated. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of the insubstantiality of the present arising is all-knowingness itself. Subhuti asked: World-Honored One, the Perfection of Wisdom is difficult for those with little diligence, those who have not generated roots of virtue, those who fall into the hands of evil friends, those who are controlled by demons, those who are lazy, those who have abandoned diligence, those who have lost mindfulness, and those who are not endowed with awareness to believe in. The World-Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Subhuti, the Perfection of Wisdom is for those with little diligence, those who have not generated roots of virtue, those who fall into the hands of evil friends, those who are controlled by demons, those who are lazy, those who have abandoned diligence.

Furthermore, those who are forgetful and lack mindfulness find it difficult to have faith. These are the four causes of karmic obscurations. O, Subhuti, whatever is the purity of form, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, that is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the elements, the sense bases, and dependent origination, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the perfection of generosity, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of inner emptiness, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of emptiness of the nature of non-things, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the noble truths, the meditations, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the eight liberations and the nine successive abidings, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the six superknowledges, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of all samadhis and the doors of dharani, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the ten bodhisattva grounds, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, that itself is the purity of the result. Whatever is the purity of enlightenment, that itself is the purity of the result.

Furthermore, Subhuti, whatever is the purity of form is the purity of result. Whatever is the purity of result is the purity of the Perfection of Wisdom. Whatever is the purity of the Perfection of Wisdom is the purity of form. Thus, the purity of form, the purity of result, and the purity of the Perfection of Wisdom are non-dual, indivisible, non-different, and not separate. Likewise, whatever is pure up to the purity of all-knowingness is the purity of the Perfection of Wisdom. Whatever is the purity of the Perfection of Wisdom is the purity of all-knowingness. Thus, the purity of all-knowingness and the purity of the Perfection of Wisdom are non-dual, indivisible, non-different, and not separate. This is the general explanation of purity. Again, Subhuti, whatever is the purity of self is the purity of form. Whatever is the purity of form is the purity of self. Thus, the purity of self and the purity of form are non-dual, indivisible, non-different, and not separate. Similarly, whatever is the purity of sentient beings, life, nourishment, individuals, persons, beings born of mind, those born from beings born of mind, agents, experiencers, knowers, and seers, whatever is the purity of the seer, is the purity of form. Whatever is the purity of form is the purity up to the seer. Thus, the purity up to the seer and the purity of form are non-dual, indivisible, non-different, and not separate. Likewise, whatever is the purity up to the seer is the purity up to all-knowingness. Whatever is the purity of all-knowingness is the purity up to the seer. Thus, the purity of the seer and the purity of all-knowingness are non-dual, indivisible, non-different, and not separate. Subhuti.
