Or, if any daughter of good family writes down this Perfection of Wisdom and makes it into a book, and if she copies it when she is young, and gives it to others for the sake of recitation, she will increase her merit greatly. Why is that? Kauśika, it is because from this Perfection of Wisdom are born all the laws of the disciples, the Pratyekabuddhas, and the Bodhisattvas, and all the laws of the Buddhas. Kauśika, let alone arranging the beings of a world system of four great continents in the path of the ten good works and in their own enlightenment. Kauśika, rather than a son or daughter of good family arranging as many beings as there are in a thousandfold world system in the path of the ten good works, and in the fruit of stream-entry, and in the fruit of once-returning, and in the fruit of non-returning, and in Arhatship, and in their own enlightenment, a son or daughter of good family who writes down this Perfection of Wisdom and makes it into a book, and who copies it when he is young, and gives it to others for the sake of recitation, will increase his merit still more. Kauśika, let alone arranging the beings of a thousandfold world system in their own enlightenment. Kauśika, if a son or daughter of good family arranges as many beings as there are in a twice-thousandfold intermediate world system in the path of the ten good works and in their own enlightenment, what do you think, Kauśika? Will the merit of that son or daughter of good family increase greatly because of that? Indra replied: Blessed One, greatly so! Well-gone One, greatly so! The Blessed One said: Kauśika, rather than that, a son or daughter of good family who writes down this Perfection of Wisdom and makes it into a book, and who copies it when he is young, and gives it to others for the sake of recitation, will increase his merit still more. Kauśika, let alone arranging the beings of a twice-thousandfold intermediate world system in their own enlightenment. Compared to highly establishing the path of the ten virtuous actions, up to the attainment of self-enlightenment, it is better than any son or daughter of good family who writes this Prajñāpāramitā and makes it into a scripture, writing it when young, and giving it to others for the sake of reading, the merit will greatly increase. Kauśika, let alone establishing the beings of the three thousand great thousand world systems between self-enlightenment. Kauśika, in the ten directions, in realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, however many beings there are, establishing all those beings in the path of the ten virtuous actions, and even establishing them between self-enlightenment, it is better than any son or daughter of good family who writes this Prajñāpāramitā and makes it into a scripture, writing it when young, and giving it to others for the sake of reading, Kauśika, the merit of this son or daughter of good family will greatly increase. Why is that? Because from this Prajñāpāramitā, the uncontaminated dharmas are extensively shown, and learning these, those sons or daughters of good family will truly enter without error. Enter, will enter. Even attain the state of an Arhat. Attain, will attain. Attain self-enlightenment. Attain, will attain. Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas will also enter the Bodhisattva path without error. Enter, will enter. Manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, become Buddhas. Will manifestly and completely awaken, will manifestly and completely awaken. Kauśika, what are those uncontaminated dharmas? For example, the perfections, and the powers of the Tathāgata, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the four noble truths, inner emptiness, outer emptiness, inner and outer emptiness, emptiness of emptiness, between the emptiness of the nature of non-things, and the immeasurables, the samādhis, the dhāraṇī gates, and the formless
