Thus it was declared. Kausika, other non-Buddhists, or demons, or gods belonging to the demon class, or some arrogant individuals, if there arises someone who wants to separate Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas from this Prajnaparamita, who wants to refute, who wants to argue, who wants to contradict, who wants to separate, who wants to refute, who wants to argue, who wants to contradict, then whatever separation, refutation, argument, contradiction arises, all will quickly vanish and disappear, and the intentions of those who want to separate, who want to refute, who want to argue, who want to contradict will not be completely fulfilled. Why is that? Kausika, it is because Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas have long practiced the Paramita of Giving, and similarly, when practicing the Paramita of Morality, the Paramita of Patience, the Paramita of Diligence, the Paramita of Meditation, and the Paramita of Wisdom, for the sake of sentient beings, all the internal and external dharmas that cause prolonged strife, contention, and contradiction are completely abandoned, in order to establish these sentient beings in the Paramita of Giving. For the sake of these sentient beings, the internal and external dharmas that have long become evil morality are completely abandoned by Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, in order to establish these sentient beings in the Paramita of Morality. For the sake of these sentient beings, the internal and external dharmas that have long become anger, malice, and harm are completely abandoned by Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, in order to establish these sentient beings in the Paramita of Patience. For the sake of these sentient beings, the internal and external dharmas that have long become laziness are completely abandoned by Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, in order to establish these sentient beings in the Paramita of Diligence. For the sake of these sentient beings, the internal and external dharmas that have long become mental distraction

Therefore, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely relinquishes, in order to thoroughly establish those sentient beings in the perfection of meditation. For the sake of those sentient beings who have long been confused in wisdom regarding the inner and outer dharmas, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely relinquishes, in order to thoroughly establish them in the perfection of wisdom. Kausika, for the sake of those sentient beings, such as subsequent attachment, anger, and various arising, who have been transmigrating in samsara, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely destroys them, in order to thoroughly establish those sentient beings in the four meditations, the four immeasurables, and the four formless absorptions. In order to thoroughly establish them in the four mindfulnesses. Similarly, in order to thoroughly establish them in the right abandonments, the miraculous feet, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, the eightfold noble path, emptinesses, signlessnesses, wishlessnesses, samadhis, and the doors of dharani. In order to thoroughly establish them in the four noble truths, the superknowledges, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the separate knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha. In order to thoroughly establish them in the fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, and the fruit of Arhat. In order to thoroughly establish them in self-enlightenment. In order to thoroughly establish them in unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Kausika, thus, when the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva, these benefits arise in this visible dharma. In other lifetimes as well, having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, turning the wheel of dharma, and thoroughly establishing sentient beings according to their aspirations, they will completely pass into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates. Kausika, this is the Bodhicitta.

That which is called the benefit arising in future lives for great heroes is the patience of knowing after cessation. Kausika, furthermore, in any place where there is a son or daughter of good family who holds, explains, recites, comprehends, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom, demons and gods belonging to the class of demons, or other non-Buddhists who constantly wander about, or arrogant persons, will not be able to come for the sake of distracting the mind, refuting, arguing, or opposing this Perfection of Wisdom. Underneath that, benefits will arise for them, which is that by listening to this Perfection of Wisdom in sequence, they will definitely arise through the three vehicles and reach the end of suffering. Kausika, for example, there is a herb called Rtsima Ghi, which pacifies all poisons. There, a snake or creature tormented by hunger and seeking food sees a certain kind of creature. Desiring to eat that creature, it follows and approaches it. Then, that kind of creature, fearing death, becomes frightened and goes to where the Rtsima Ghi is. From there, just by smelling the scent of that herb, it will turn back. Why is that? Kausika, like this, the one who subdues the venom of the snake is the quality of the Rtsima Ghi herb. Kausika, that herb has such power. Kausika, similarly, whatever son or daughter of good family holds, cherishes, reads, comprehends, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom, Kausika, whatever attacks, disputes, and oppositions arise against them, those are quickly pacified and disappear by the glory of the Perfection of Wisdom and the power of the Perfection of Wisdom. From wherever they arise, they disappear in that very place and do not increase, which is called knowing after cessation. Why is that? Kausika, like this, this Perfection of Wisdom
