Path of Seeing. Path of Seeing. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, said to the venerable Śāriputra, "Venerable Śāriputra, where should the Prajñāpāramitā be sought?" Śāriputra said, "Kauśika, the Prajñāpāramitā should be sought in the chapter of Subhūti." Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, said to the venerable Subhūti, "Noble Subhūti, the noble Śāriputra said, 'Kauśika, the Prajñāpāramitā should be sought in the chapter of Subhūti.' Is this your power? Is this your blessing?" Subhūti said, "Kauśika, this is not my power. This is not my blessing." Indra said, "Venerable Subhūti, then whose power is this, whose blessing?" Subhūti said, "Kauśika, this is the power of the Tathāgata. This is the blessing of the Tathāgata." The lord of the gods, even apart from the dharma-nature without blessing, the Tathāgata is not seen; even apart from Suchness, the Tathāgata is not seen, because all dharmas are without blessing. The lord of the gods said, "Noble Subhūti, if all dharmas are without blessing, why is it said, 'This is the power of the Tathāgata, this is the blessing of the Tathāgata'?" Subhūti said, "Kauśika, it is so, it is so. Even apart from the dharma-nature without blessing, the Tathāgata is not seen; even apart from Suchness, the Tathāgata is not seen. In the dharma-nature without blessing, the Tathāgata is not seen; in the Tathāgata, the dharma-nature without blessing is not seen. In Suchness, the Tathāgata is not seen; in the Tathāgata, Suchness is not seen. In the Suchness of form, the Tathāgata is not seen; in the Tathāgata, the Suchness of form is not seen.

Moreover, in suchness, in the suchness of feeling, in the suchness of perception, in the suchness of formations, and in the suchness of consciousness, the Tathagata is not seen. In the Tathagata, the suchness of consciousness is not seen. In the dharmata of consciousness, the Tathagata is not seen. In the Tathagata, the dharmata of consciousness is not seen. Likewise, in the aggregates, elements, sources, dependent origination, perfections, superknowledges, noble truths, thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, immeasurables, meditations, formless absorptions, all emptinesses, all samadhis, all dharani gates, powers, fearlessnesses, separate correct knowledges, unshared qualities of the Buddha, and even in the suchness of all-knowingness, the Tathagata is not seen. In the Tathagata, the suchness of all-knowingness is not seen. In the dharmata of all-knowingness, the Tathagata is not seen. In the Tathagata, the dharmata of all-knowingness is not seen. Why is that? Kausika, the Tathagata and the suchness of form, are neither connected nor separated. The suchness of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are neither connected nor separated. Kausika, the Tathagata and the dharmata of form are neither connected nor separated. The dharmata of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are neither connected nor separated. That which is not the suchness of form is neither connected nor separated from others. That which is not the dharmata of form is neither connected nor separated from others. That which is not the suchness of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness is neither connected nor separated from others. That which is not the dharmata of consciousness.

Nor is it in conjunction with other dharmas. Nor is it separate, because of that. In detail, even between the Tathagata and the Suchness of Omniscience, it is neither in conjunction nor separate, because of that. Nor is it in conjunction with the Dharmata of Omniscience. Nor is it separate, because of that. Nor is it in conjunction with other dharmas that are not the Suchness of Omniscience. Nor is it separate, because of that. Nor is it in conjunction with other dharmas that are not the Dharmata of Omniscience. Nor is it separate, because of that. Kauśika! Here, whatever is neither in conjunction with all dharmas nor separate, that is its power, in the manner of its blessings. Kauśika! If someone says this: "Where should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva seek the Prajñāpāramitā?" It should not be sought from form. Nor should it be sought elsewhere from form. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness should not be sought from them. Nor should it be sought elsewhere from consciousness. Why is that? Kauśika! That is how it is. Whatever is the Prajñāpāramitā, whatever is form, whatever is feeling, whatever is perception, whatever are the formations, whatever is consciousness, and whatever is the dharma of seeking, all those are neither in conjunction nor not in conjunction. Without form, invisible, unimpeded, of one characteristic, that is how it is, because of being without characteristics. Kauśika! Furthermore, the Prajñāpāramitā of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should not be sought from the realms, the sources, the dependent origination, the perfections, the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, the immeasurables, the meditations, the formless absorptions, the truths, the superknowledges, all emptinesses, the samādhis, the gates of dhāraṇīs, the powers, the fearlessnesses, the separate perfect knowledges, the unmixed Buddha-dharmas, even up to Omniscience. Nor should it be sought elsewhere from Omniscience.
