If it were not that things do not exist, then the Great Vehicle would not overwhelm and arise in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, the touch that arises from the gathering of the mind is merely a distinction, a realization, a universal manifestation, not as it truly is, and all of this is impermanent, unstable, and not firm. That feeling which arises from the condition of contact, having been assembled, is merely discriminated, substantiated, and universally shown, but it is not as it truly is. And all of this is impermanent, unstable, and not substantial; it is of the nature of change. Because it is without substance, therefore this Great Vehicle arises, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, if the realm of Dharma were something substantial, and not something insubstantial, then this Great Vehicle would not arise, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, because the realm of Dharma is insubstantial and not substantial, therefore this Great Vehicle arises, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, if Suchness, and the ultimate limit of reality, and the inconceivable realm were something substantial, and not something insubstantial, then this Great Vehicle would not arise, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, because the inconceivable realm is insubstantial and not substantial, therefore this Great Vehicle arises, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, if the perfection of giving were something substantial, and not something insubstantial, then this Great Vehicle would not arise, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, because the perfection of giving is insubstantial and not substantial, therefore this Great Vehicle arises, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, if the perfection of morality, and the perfection of patience, and the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom were something substantial, and not something insubstantial, then this Great Vehicle would not arise, overwhelming the world including gods, humans, and asuras.
