The very absence of aspiration in consciousness is empty of the very absence of aspiration in consciousness. That emptiness of the very absence of aspiration in consciousness is not the very absence of aspiration in consciousness. Apart from emptiness, there is no very absence of aspiration in consciousness. The very absence of aspiration in consciousness is emptiness. Emptiness itself is the very absence of aspiration in consciousness. Blessed One, for that reason, a bodhisattva mahasattva, practicing the perfection of wisdom, should not abide in thinking, "Consciousness is without aspiration." One should not abide in thinking, "Form is secluded." Why is that? Blessed One, in this way, the very seclusion of form is empty of the very seclusion of form. That emptiness of the very seclusion of form is not the very seclusion of form. Apart from emptiness, there is no very seclusion of form. The very seclusion of form is emptiness. Emptiness itself is the very seclusion of form. Blessed One, for that reason, a bodhisattva mahasattva, practicing the perfection of wisdom, should not abide in thinking, "Form is secluded." Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are secluded; one should not abide in this thought. Why is that?

Apart from you, there is no suchness. Suchness is emptiness, and emptiness is suchness. World Honored One, for that reason, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, do not abide in suchness. Similarly, they do not abide in the nature of Dharma. Why is that? World Honored One, because the nature of Dharma is empty of the nature of Dharma, and the emptiness of the nature of Dharma is not the nature of Dharma. Apart from emptiness, there is no nature of Dharma. The nature of Dharma is emptiness, and emptiness is the nature of Dharma. World Honored One, for that reason, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, do not abide in the nature of Dharma. Similarly, they do not abide in the realm of Dharma. Why is that? World Honored One, because the realm of Dharma is empty of the realm of Dharma, and the emptiness of the realm of Dharma is not the realm of Dharma. Apart from emptiness, there is no realm of Dharma. The realm of Dharma is emptiness, and emptiness is the realm of Dharma. World Honored One, for that reason, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, do not abide in the realm of Dharma. Similarly, they do not abide in the stainless nature. Why is that? World Honored One, because the stainless nature is empty of the stainless nature, and the emptiness of the stainless nature is not the stainless nature. Apart from emptiness, there is no stainless nature. The stainless nature is emptiness, and emptiness is the stainless nature. World Honored One, for that reason, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, do not abide in the stainless nature. Similarly, they do not abide in the ultimate reality. Why is that? World Honored One, because the ultimate reality is empty of the ultimate reality, and the emptiness of the ultimate reality is not the ultimate reality. Apart from emptiness, there is no ultimate reality.

That (refers to emptiness). The very edge of reality is emptiness. Emptiness itself is the edge of reality. O Bhagavan, by those names, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, when practicing the Prajnaparamita, does not abide in the edge of reality. O Bhagavan, furthermore, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, when practicing the Prajnaparamita, with unskilled means, abides in the mind that dwells on what is to be made mine and what belongs to me, and abides in form, then he practices the manifestation of form, but does not practice the Prajnaparamita. If he abides in feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, then he practices the manifestation of consciousness, but does not practice the Prajnaparamita. Why is that? A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the manifestation of attachment is not fully grasped by the Prajnaparamita, and cannot enter into the yoga of the Prajnaparamita. If the Prajnaparamita is not fully perfected, then he will not manifest omniscience. Why is that? O Bhagavan, thus form is not to be grasped. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are not to be grasped. Why is that? If there is no grasping of form, then that is not form, because of the emptiness of its own nature. Those who do not grasp feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are also not consciousness, because of the emptiness of their own nature. Likewise, the interval between the edges of reality is also not to be grasped. Why is that? If there is no grasping of the edge of reality, then that is not the edge of reality, because of the emptiness of its own nature. The Prajnaparamita is also not to be grasped because of the emptiness of its own nature. O Bhagavan, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, when practicing the Prajnaparamita, with unskilled means, abides in the mind that dwells on what is to be made mine and what belongs to me,
