I shall know the death and rebirth of beings in the worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges with my divine eye. I shall listen to their sounds with my divine ear. I shall know their minds with my mind. I shall remember their past existences, and I shall go by means of magical power and teach the Dharma. He does not think thus. Shariputra, likewise, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva thinks thus: I shall know the death and rebirth of beings in the worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the northeast direction with my divine eye. I shall listen to their sounds with my divine ear. I shall know their minds with my mind. I shall remember their past existences, and I shall go by means of magical power and teach the Dharma.

One does not think: 'Having remembered the previous dwelling place, having gone by means of miraculous power, I shall teach the Dharma.' Shariputra, likewise, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva thinks: 'With my divine eye, I shall know the dying and birth of sentient beings in the world realms of the lower direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges; with the divine ear, I shall listen to their sounds; with the mind, I shall know their minds; having remembered their previous dwelling place, I do not think: 'Having gone by means of miraculous power, I shall teach the Dharma.' Shariputra, likewise, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva thinks: 'With my divine eye, I shall know the dying and birth of sentient beings in the world realms of the upper direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges; with the divine ear, I shall listen to their sounds; with the mind, I shall know their minds; having remembered their previous dwelling place, I do not think: 'Having gone by means of miraculous power, I shall teach the Dharma.' Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom should be said to be diligent in completely liberating immeasurable, countless, and limitless sentient beings from suffering. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom, the evil Mara will not find an opportunity. All the worldly afflictions that exist for this one, however many there are, will all be completely eliminated. Shariputra, in the world realms of the eastern direction, as many as the sands of the Ganges, all the Buddhas, Bhagavadatas, who dwell and live, and all those who are their Shravakas, and all those who are Pratyekabuddhas, and the Four Great Kings, and the Thirty-three, and the No-Conflict, and the Tushita, and the Delight of Transformation, and the Other-Controlled Wielding, and the Brahma Host, and the Brahma Foregoers, and the Brahma Retinue, and the Great Brahma, and the Minor Light, and the Immeasurable Light, and the Radiant Light, and the Minor Virtue, and the Immeasurable Virtue, and the Pervasive Virtue, and the Cloudless
