To fully know what is true, and to fully know the past and the future, and to fully know the ripening of taking things as they happened, from the perspective of place and cause, and to fully know the diverse realms of the world and the many inclinations, and to fully know the various inclinations and the many inclinations of other sentient beings and other individuals, and to fully know the superior and non-superior faculties of other sentient beings and other individuals, and to fully know the path that goes everywhere, and to fully know the meditative states, liberations, samādhis, attainments, defilements, and purifications of other sentient beings and other individuals, and to fully know the recollection of many past lives, and to fully know the death and birth of sentient beings with such an eye, To fully know that, because of the exhaustion of defilements, because of the absence of defilements, the liberation of mind and the liberation of wisdom, having realized it with one's own direct knowledge in this very life, having witnessed it, one abides, my birth is exhausted, the pure conduct has been practiced, what had to be done has been done, I know there is nothing else. To fully know that. Subhuti, that too, in the manner of non-objectification, is the great vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Subhuti, furthermore, the great vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is as follows: the four fearlessnesses. What are the four? If one makes a vow: "I will fully awaken to these dharmas." Here, if anyone, whether a śrāmaṇa, a brahmin, a god, a demon, a Brahma, or anyone else in the world who possesses dharma, were to argue with me, saying, "You have not fully awakened to these dharmas," such a cause is not seen as truly following. Because such a cause is not seen as truly following here, I dwell having attained happiness, having attained freedom from anxiety, having attained fearlessness. The excellence of the great elephant.

I take a vow at the place. I proclaim the lion's roar in the assembly. In the world, the wheel of Brahma, whether a renunciate, a Brahmin, a god, a demon, a Brahma, or anyone else, cannot be turned in the world with Dharma, I shall turn it well. Thus I say, Alas! My defilements are exhausted! Thus I vow, here for me these defilements are not exhausted. They have not been completely exhausted. Thus for me, a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or a Brahma, or anyone else, who in the world would oppose with Dharma, such a cause is not truly seen. Here, because that cause is not truly seen, I dwell having obtained happiness, having obtained freedom from sorrow, having obtained fearlessness. At the place of the most excellent and rare, I take a vow. I proclaim the lion's roar in the assembly. In the world, the wheel of Brahma, whether a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or a Brahma, or anyone else, cannot be turned in the world with Dharma, I shall turn it well. Thus I say, whatever I have shown as the Dharma of obstruction, if those are practiced, they will not become the Dharma of obstruction, such a place does not exist. Here for me, a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or a Brahma, or anyone else, who in the world would oppose with Dharma, such a cause is not truly seen. Here, because that cause is not truly seen, I dwell having obtained happiness, having obtained freedom from sorrow, having obtained fearlessness. In the world, the wheel of Brahma, whether a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or a Brahma, or anyone else, cannot be turned in the world with Dharma, I shall turn it well. The noble path of definite departure that I have spoken of, if one practices that, then it will not become a definite departure for the sake of the complete exhaustion of suffering, such a place does not exist. Here, even if I truly practice that, it will not become the complete exhaustion of suffering. A renunciate, or a Brahmin,

Or, a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or anyone else, who could oppose the Dharma in the world, such a cause is not seen at all. Here, since that cause is not seen at all, I dwell having obtained happiness, having obtained freedom from anxiety, and having obtained fearlessness, and I make a great vow in the midst of the assembly. I roar the lion's roar in the assembly. The wheel of Brahma, whether a renunciate, or a Brahmin, or a god, or a demon, or Brahma, or anyone else, who cannot turn the Dharma in the world, I shall turn it well. These are the four fearlessnesses. Subhuti, this is also the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva by way of non-apprehension. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is as follows: four kinds of separate perfect knowledge. What are the four? Separate perfect knowledge of meaning, separate perfect knowledge of Dharma, separate perfect knowledge of expression, and separate perfect knowledge of eloquence. Subhuti, this is also the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva by way of non-apprehension. Furthermore, Subhuti, the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is as follows: the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha. What are the eighteen? From the night when the Tathagata manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, until the night when the Tathagata, together with the world including the gods, the world including the demons, the world including Brahma, and the beings including renunciates and Brahmins, and including gods, humans, and asuras, revealed the path that leads to the exhaustion of suffering, until the realm of Nirvana without remainder of aggregates, the Tathagata has no confusion, no clamor, no forgetfulness, no diverse perceptions, no lack of meditative equipoise, no unexamined equanimity, no complete loss of desire, no complete loss of diligence, no complete loss of mindfulness, no complete loss of samadhi.
