Then, if existence itself or non-existence itself is non-existent or invisible, then, Venerable Shariputra, is the mind that you call 'no-mind' existent? Shariputra said: Venerable Subhuti, what is no-mind itself? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, the dharmas whose suchness is unchanging and without discrimination, that is no-mind, and this is what is called no-mind. Shariputra said: Venerable Subhuti, just as the mind is unchanging and without discrimination, is form also unchanging and without discrimination? Is feeling also unchanging and without discrimination? Is perception also unchanging and without discrimination? Are formations also unchanging and without discrimination? Is consciousness also unchanging and without discrimination? Similarly, are the eye element, the form element, and the eye consciousness element also unchanging and without discrimination? Are the ear element, the sound element, and the ear consciousness element also unchanging and without discrimination? Are the nose element, the smell element, and the nose consciousness element also unchanging and without discrimination? Are the tongue element, the taste element, and the tongue consciousness element also unchanging and without discrimination? Are the body element, the touch element, and the body consciousness element also unchanging and without discrimination? Are the mind element, the dharma element, and the mind consciousness element also unchanging and without discrimination? Similarly, the sense bases, the elements, dependent origination, the perfections, the superknowledges, the mindfulnesses, the right abandonments, the legs of magical power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, the noble eightfold path, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the Buddha's dharmas.

From the unmixed dharmas up to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, is there no change and no discrimination? Subhuti said: Venerable Sariputra, it is so. Just as there is no change and no discrimination in the mind, so too, from the aggregates, the elements, the sense bases, dependent origination, the perfections, the superknowledges, the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared dharmas of a buddha, up to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, there is no change and no discrimination. Then the Venerable Sariputra gave praise to the Venerable Subhuti, saying: Venerable Subhuti, well done, well done! In this way, you are a son of the Bhagavan, born from his mind, born from his mouth, born from the Dharma, an emanation of the Dharma, enjoying the share of the Dharma, not enjoying the share of worldly things, possessing the eye of direct perception, having realized the dharmas with your body. Just as the Bhagavan has made the supreme declaration for the supreme among those who abide without affliction, so this has been closely shown. Venerable Subhuti, thus should a bodhisattva mahasattva train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Therefore, a bodhisattva mahasattva should also examine non-retrogression, and should know that they are inseparable from the Perfection of Wisdom, which is the distinction of the small object and aspect that belongs to the heat of the path of truth. Venerable Subhuti, even one who wishes to train in the ground of a hearer should listen to this Perfection of Wisdom, hold it, recite it, understand it, and properly apply their mind to it. Even one who wishes to train in the ground of a solitary buddha should listen to this Perfection of Wisdom, hold it, recite it, understand it, and properly apply their mind to it.

Even the great courageous Bodhisattva should listen to this Perfection of Wisdom, hold it, memorize it, read it, fully understand it, and properly apply it to mind. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who wishes to study the Buddha-ground should also listen to this Perfection of Wisdom, hold it, memorize it, read it, fully understand it, and properly apply it to mind. Why is that? Thus, from this Perfection of Wisdom, whatever the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas extensively teach regarding the Hearer-ground, or the Solitary Buddha-ground, or the Bodhisattva-ground, or the three vehicles that the Buddha should study, that is the distinction of being the cause of all. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, I do not know the Bodhisattva and the Perfection of Wisdom, have not realized them, and have not truly seen them. Therefore, to which Bodhisattva should I teach which Perfection of Wisdom, and how should I instruct? Blessed One, since I have not known things, have not realized them, and have not truly seen them, Blessed One, how should I, who have not known things, have not realized them, and have not truly seen them, teach and instruct which Dharma with which Dharma? Blessed One, this will become my regret. Blessed One, if I gather and establish merely by name as "Bodhisattva" or "Perfection of Wisdom" without having known, realized, or truly seen all Dharmas, that will become my regret. Blessed One, even so, that name is not permanent, not impermanent, not separate from permanence, not non-separate from permanence. Why is that? Because that name does not exist. Thus, that name is not permanent, not impermanent, not separate from permanence, not non-separate from permanence. Blessed One, I have not known, have not realized, and have not truly seen the gathering and establishment of form. Blessed One, I have not known the gathering and establishment of feeling.
