That which says, "He greatly praises others for what he has not directly realized himself," refers to the fruits to be attained by the path of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Shariputra, what is the wisdom and abandonment by which the fruits of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas are to be attained? It is the patience of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has obtained the patience of non-arising dharmas, which is the praise of others for the dharma that he has not attained himself. Shariputra, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who thus practice the Perfection of Wisdom should be known as irreversible. Shariputra, there are also Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who abide in the six perfections and completely purify the Tushita heaven. Shariputra, these Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should be known as auspicious. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who possesses this realization of the Buddhadharmas should be known as irreversible. Shariputra, therefore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not distinguish the opportunities for faulty actions of body, speech, and mind. These clearly show the sangha of irreversible Bodhisattvas. This is the instruction on the Sangha Jewel. This is the instruction on non-attachment. After he had spoken thus, the venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, what are the faulty actions of body, faulty actions of speech, and faulty actions of mind of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? After he had asked thus, the Blessed One said to the venerable Shariputra: Shariputra, for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva in this place, thinking, 'Whose action of body is the body that is correctly performed? Whose action of speech is the speech that is correctly performed? Whose action of mind is the mind that is correctly performed?' Shariputra, this is the Bodhisattva.

The actions of body, speech, and mind of a great courageous Bodhisattva are all without fault. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, with what body, with what speech, with what mind does he generate the mind of stinginess, moral transgression, malice, laziness, distraction, and corrupted wisdom? That body is not apprehended, speech is not apprehended, mind is not apprehended. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, whatever evil deeds are generated by body, speech, and mind, there is no place nor opportunity for them. Why is that? Shariputra, in this way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the six paramitas, he purifies the evil deeds of the body, purifies the evil deeds of speech, and purifies the evil deeds of the mind. Shariputra asked: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva purify the evil deeds of the body, purify the evil deeds of speech, and purify the evil deeds of the mind? The Blessed One replied: Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not cling to the body, does not cling to speech, and does not cling to the mind, at that time, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva completely purifies the evil deeds of body, speech, and mind. Shariputra, furthermore, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, from the moment of first generating the mind, upholds and abides in the ten virtuous paths of action, without generating the mind of a Shravaka or a Pratyekabuddha, and constantly and continuously cherishes great compassion for all sentient beings, in that way, I say that the evil deeds of body, speech, and mind of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva are completely purified. Shariputra, those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who practice the Prajnaparamita, who cultivate the path to enlightenment, practice the Paramita of Generosity, practice the Paramita of Discipline, and practice the Paramita of Patience.

They practice the perfection of diligence. They practice the perfection of meditation. They practice the perfection of wisdom. Shariputra asked: "Bhagavan, what is the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva Mahasattva?" The Bhagavan replied: "Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom, when body is not fixated upon, speech is not fixated upon, mind is not fixated upon, the perfection of generosity is not fixated upon, the perfection of ethics is not fixated upon, the perfection of patience is not fixated upon, the perfection of diligence is not fixated upon, the perfection of meditation is not fixated upon, the perfection of wisdom is not fixated upon, Shravakas are not fixated upon, Pratyekabuddhas are not fixated upon, Bodhisattvas are not fixated upon, Buddhas are not fixated upon, this is, Shariputra, the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Thus, all dharmas are not fixated upon. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who walks this path and practices the six perfections cannot be overcome, this is the instruction on non-attachment. Instruction on non-weariness. Asked: "Bhagavan, what kind of practice of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva cannot be overcome by all others?" The Bhagavan replied: "Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the six perfections of wisdom, they do not cling to form, do not cling to feeling, do not cling to perception, do not cling to formations, do not cling to consciousness, do not cling to the earth element, do not cling to the water element, do not cling to the fire element, do not cling to the wind element, do not cling to the space element, do not cling to the consciousness element, do not cling to the eye element, do not cling to the form element, do not cling to the eye consciousness element, do not cling to the ear element, do not cling to the sound element
