The so-called "relying on and overwhelming and arising" means that it will definitely arise in the supreme place. Subhuti, if the dharma of the race-ground were a real thing, and not a non-real thing, then this Mahayana would not overwhelm and arise in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, because the dharma of the race-ground is non-real and non-non-real, therefore this Mahayana overwhelms and arises in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, if the dharma of the eighth ground, the dharma of the stream-enterer, the dharma of the once-returner, the dharma of the non-returner, the dharma of the Arhat, the dharma of the Pratyekabuddha, the dharma of the Bodhisattva, and the dharma of the Buddha were real things, and not non-real things, then this Mahayana would not overwhelm and arise in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, because the dharma of the Buddha is non-real and non-non-real, therefore this Mahayana overwhelms and arises in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, if the eighth, the stream-enterer, the once-returner, the non-returner, the Arhat, the Pratyekabuddha, the Bodhisattva, and the Tathagata Arhat Samyak-sambuddha were real things, and not non-real things, then this Mahayana would not overwhelm and arise in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. Subhuti, because the Tathagata Arhat Samyak-sambuddha is non-real and non-non-real, therefore this Mahayana overwhelms and arises in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras.

overpowers the world and arises. Subhuti, if the world with gods, humans, and asuras were something real, and not something unreal, then this Great Vehicle would also not overpower the world with gods, humans, and asuras and arise. Subhuti, the world with gods, humans, and asuras is not something real, but something unreal, therefore this Great Vehicle overpowers the world with gods, humans, and asuras and arises, which is called the definite arising of abandonment. Subhuti, if the mind of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, from the first generation of the mind until dwelling in the essence of enlightenment, were something real, and not something unreal, then this Great Vehicle would also not overpower the world with gods, humans, and asuras and arise. Subhuti, the mind of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, from the first generation of the mind until dwelling in the essence of enlightenment, is all unreal and not real, therefore this Great Vehicle overpowers the world with gods, humans, and asuras and arises. Subhuti, if the diamond-like wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva were something real, and not something unreal, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva would also not realize that all the afflictions connected with habits are unreal, and would also not attain the wisdom of all aspects of knowledge, the supreme of all aspects, and would also not overpower the world with gods, humans, and asuras and arise. Subhuti, the diamond-like wisdom of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is unreal and not real, therefore the Bodhisattva Mahasattva realizes that all the afflictions connected with habits are unreal, and also attains the wisdom of all aspects of knowledge, the supreme of all aspects, and also overpowers the world with gods, humans, and asuras.

Therefore, the world is subdued. Subhuti, if the thirty-two marks of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One were something real, and not something unreal, then the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One would not be able to subdue the world including gods, humans, and asuras, nor would he shine, merge, and appear with splendor and glory. Subhuti, the thirty-two marks of a great man of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One are not something real, nor are they something unreal, therefore, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One is able to subdue the world including gods, humans, and asuras, and is beautiful, shining, merging, and appearing with splendor and glory. Subhuti, if the light of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One were something real, and not something unreal, then the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One would not be able to fill the world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges with light. Subhuti, the light of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One is not something real, nor is it something unreal, therefore, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One fills the world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges with light. Subhuti, if the speech of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, endowed with sixty branches, were something real, and not something unreal, then the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One would not be able to make the world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the ten directions clearly understood with his speech. Subhuti, the speech of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, endowed with sixty branches, is not something real, nor is it something real, therefore, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One is able to with his speech
