Thus, a Bodhisattva does not truly perceive the limit of the past. He does not connect or separate the future limit with regard to all-knowingness. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva does not truly perceive the limit of the future. He does not connect or separate what arises in the present with regard to all-knowingness. Why is that? Because the Bodhisattva does not truly perceive what arises in the present. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who acts in this way is said to be diligent in the Perfection of Wisdom. Furthermore, Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva acts in the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not connect the future limit to the past limit. He does not connect the past limit to the future limit. He does not connect what arises in the present to the past or future limit. He does not connect the past or future limit to what arises in the present. Why is that? Because of the equality of the three times. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva acts in the Perfection of Wisdom, such diligence is called diligence. Furthermore, Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva acts in the Perfection of Wisdom, he strives in this way. How does he strive? He does not connect the past to all-knowingness. If he does not truly perceive the past, how can he connect the past to all-knowingness? He does not connect the future to all-knowingness. If he does not perceive the future, how can he connect the future to all-knowingness? He does not connect what arises in the present to all-knowingness. If he does not perceive what arises in the present, how can he connect what arises in the present to all-knowingness? Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who acts in this way is said to be diligent in the Perfection of Wisdom. This is called the instruction on the Truth of the Path.
