Shariputra, therefore, you should also understand in this way: the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who strives in the Perfection of Wisdom is said to be striving. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not combine emptiness with emptiness, nor is it the yoga of emptiness. He does not combine signlessness with signlessness, nor is it the yoga of signlessness. He does not combine wishlessness with wishlessness, nor is it the yoga of wishlessness. Why is that? Because emptiness is neither combination nor non-combination. Similarly, signlessness and wishlessness are neither combination nor non-combination. Shariputra, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who strives in this way is said to be striving in the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, the own-nature of all dharmas enters into emptiness. When it enters in this way, he does not combine or separate with form, he does not combine or separate with feeling, he does not combine or separate with perception, formation, and consciousness. He does not combine or separate form with the past extreme. Why is that? Shariputra, because the Bodhisattva does not truly see the past extreme. He does not combine or separate form with the future extreme. Why is that? Shariputra, because the Bodhisattva does not truly see the future extreme. He does not combine or separate form with what arises in the present. Why is that? Shariputra, because the Bodhisattva does not truly see what arises in the present. He does not combine or separate feeling with the past extreme. Why is that? Shariputra, because the Bodhisattva does not truly see the past extreme. He does not combine feeling with the fu-
