One should think, 'May I place those who are not yet liberated in the aggregate of liberation; may I place those who have not seen the wisdom of liberation in the aggregate of seeing the wisdom of liberation; may I place those who have not seen the truth in the fruit of stream-entry; and in the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, and in the state of Arhatship; may I place them in self-awakening; may I place them in unsurpassed, perfect, complete awakening.' A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should train in the Perfection of Wisdom with this thought. In all the Buddha-fields in the world-realms of the lower direction, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, may those sentient beings who have become blind through the power of darkness see forms with their eyes. Thinking thus, one should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Likewise, may the deaf hear sounds with their ears; may the insane obtain mindfulness; may the naked obtain clothing; may hungry sentient beings have their bodies completely filled; may thirsty sentient beings be free from thirst; may sentient beings born in evil destinies be completely liberated from all evil destinies and obtain a human body; may those who have broken their vows be placed in the aggregate of morality; may those who have not attained samadhi be placed in the aggregate of concentration; may those who lack wisdom be placed in the aggregate of wisdom; may those who are not liberated be placed in the aggregate of liberation; may those who have not seen the wisdom of liberation be placed in the aggregate of seeing the wisdom of liberation; may those who have not seen the truth be placed in the fruit of stream-entry; and in the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, and in the state of Arhatship; may they be placed in self-awakening; may they be placed in unsurpassed, perfect, complete awakening.

When practicing the Perfection of Wisdom, one should thoroughly examine in this way: How shall I be able to teach the Dharma to sentient beings without hindrance? How shall I be able to subdue all through the majestic manner of a great lion? How shall I be able to subdue all through meaningful suppression? How shall I be able to walk on the great earth without my feet touching the ground by four finger-widths? How shall I be able to place the soles of my feet on a lotus with a thousand petals, and walk without harming the creatures living beneath my feet? How shall I be able to walk on the great earth, drawing with the two wheels on the soles of my feet, each possessing a thousand spokes? How shall I be able to walk on the great earth, surrounded by a halo the size of a wheel, and walk where I walk? How shall I be able to wander and travel throughout all the great earth, yet not be stained by the dust of the earth? How shall I be able to travel and go to Buddha-fields, whether one Yojana, two, three, four, five, ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, a hundred, a thousand, a hundred thousand Yojanas, up to immeasurable, countless, inconceivable, unequaled, boundless, all-boundless, unmeasurable, unspeakable, even unspeakable beyond the unspeakable, without experiencing weariness of body and mind? If one thinks thus, one should also train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, how else can a Bodhisattva Mahasattva emit hundreds of thousands of kotis of rays of light from the two wheels on the soles of his feet, each possessing a thousand spokes, thereby completely pacifying all inauspiciousness and the suffering of the lower realms, and bringing happiness to all sentient beings? If one thinks thus, one should also train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, one should thoroughly examine in this way: How shall I be able to benefit the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, the Thirty-three, the Yama, the Tushita, the Nirmanarati, the Paranirmitavasavartin, the Brahmas and their retinue, and Brahma before
