Thinking, "May they attain the vision of wisdom"; thinking, "May those who have not seen the truth attain the fruit of stream-entry"; thinking, "May they attain the once-returner's fruit"; thinking, "May they attain the non-returner's fruit"; thinking, "May they attain the state of an arhat"; thinking, "May they attain self-awakening"; bodhisattva-mahasattvas who desire to lead them to unsurpassed, perfect, complete awakening should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. In all the buddhafields in the southern world-realm, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, thinking, "May those sentient beings who have become blind through the power of darkness see forms with their eyes," one should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. In all places, those sentient beings who have become blind due to the power of darkness, may they see forms with their eyes, thinking thus, one should train in the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, for those who are deaf, may they hear sounds with their ears, thinking thus; for those who are mad, may they gain memory, thinking thus; for those who are naked, may they obtain clothes, thinking thus; for those sentient beings who are hungry, may their bodies be completely nourished, thinking thus; for those sentient beings who are thirsty, may they be free from thirst, thinking thus; for those sentient beings who have fallen into wrong paths, may they be completely liberated from all wrong paths and obtain a human body, thinking thus; for those whose morality is corrupted, may they be established in the aggregate of morality, thinking thus; for those who are not in meditative equipoise, may they be established in the aggregate of concentration, thinking thus; for those whose wisdom is corrupted, may they be established in the aggregate of wisdom, thinking thus; for those who are not liberated, may they be established in the aggregate of liberation, thinking thus; for those who have not seen the wisdom of liberation, may they see the wisdom of liberation, thinking thus; for those who have not seen the truth, may they be established in the fruit of stream-entry, thinking thus; and may they be established in the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, and the state of Arhatship, thinking thus; may they be established in self-awakening, thinking thus; may they be established in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete awakening, thinking thus. A Bodhisattva Mahasattva should train in the Perfection of Wisdom in this way. In all the Buddha-fields of the northern realms, as numerous as the grains of sand in the Ganges River, may all those sentient beings who have become blind due to the power of darkness see forms with their eyes, thinking thus, one should train in the Perfection of Wisdom.
