It is not used for the perfection of wisdom. The meaning of emptiness, the nature of non-things, is not used for the perfection of wisdom. The meaning of suchness is not used for the perfection of wisdom. The meaning of the realm of Dharma is not used for the perfection of wisdom. The meaning of the ultimate truth is not used for the perfection of wisdom. Why is that? When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom, he does not see any Dharma as being different. Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom in this way, he does not use it for the sake of the divine eye, nor for the sake of the divine ear, nor for the sake of knowing the minds of others, nor for the sake of remembering past lives, nor for the sake of accomplishing miracles, nor for the sake of the knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements. Why is that? Because when he practices the perfection of wisdom in this way, he does not even see the perfection of wisdom itself as being correct, so what about all the superknowledges of the Bodhisattva? Shariputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom in this way, it is called diligence. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom, he does not think, 'With my divine eye, I will know the death and birth of sentient beings in the eastern world, as many as the sands of the Ganges River.' He will not hear their sounds with his divine ear. He will not know their minds with his mind. He will not remember their past lives,
