The path of meditation through separation is profound. As it says in the Sutra, at the beginning of the fifty-first chapter: After saying this, the Venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the irreversible Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possesses great qualities, and so on. The four distinctions are the path of application and the path of seeing, and repeatedly contemplating and measuring the path of meditation, and so on. As it says in the Sutra: After saying this, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, regarding the Prajnaparamita that has been taught, how should I abide in it, and until, in so many kalpas, the cycle of existence will be abandoned, will be destroyed, the basis of distinction, together with the example of abundant merit, is taught. The aspects are also nine distinctions, such as small of small, and so on. Among them, the small of small, as it says in the Sutra: Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, as taught, diligently engages in the practice of yoga in the Prajnaparamita, as stated below. The small of medium, as it says in the Sutra: Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, separated from the Prajnaparamita, for as many kalpas as the sands of the Ganges, the Three Jewels, and so on. The small of great, as it says in the Sutra: Subhuti, other Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, separated from the Prajnaparamita, abide for as many kalpas as the sands of the Ganges, and constantly give alms to those who have entered the stream, as stated below. The medium of small, as it says in the Sutra: Subhuti, what do you think? A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, separated from the Prajnaparamita, abides for as many kalpas as the sands of the Ganges and gives alms, as stated below. The medium of medium, as it says in the Sutra: Subhuti, what do you think? A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, separated from the Prajnaparamita, abides for as many kalpas as the sands of the Ganges.

It is shown by "If I give the Dharma gift," and so on. The medium of the great is also shown in the sutra: "Subhuti, what do you think? A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who is separated from the Perfection of Wisdom, for as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges River, diligently practices the four close placements of mindfulness," and so on. The small of the great is also shown in the sutra: "Subhuti, what do you think? A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who is separated from the Perfection of Wisdom, for as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges River, dwells and gives material gifts and Dharma gifts," and so on. The medium of the great is also shown in the sutra: "Subhuti, what do you think? A son or daughter of good family who is separated from the Perfection of Wisdom, for as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges River, dwells, and the Buddhas, Bhagavat, of the past, future, and present," and so on. The great of the great is also shown in the sutra: "Having said this, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavat: Bhagavat, if all that is manifestly attained is completely imputed, as the Bhagavat said," and so on. In terms of ultimate truth, although immeasurable merit and so on are not perceived, in terms of conventional truth, immeasurable merit and so on, which are born from compassion as a common cause, are also mentioned in the sutra: Subhuti said: Bhagavat, what is the difference between countless, immeasurable, and boundless? What is the difference between them?" and so on. Arguing against the inexpressible with no decrease and no increase is also shown in the sutra: "Having said this, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavat: Bhagavat, how much does the Thus-Gone-One say about the Dharma nature of all Dharmas? This inexpressible Dharma nature is wonderful," and so on. As an answer to that, by dedicating to enlightenment as it is, the desired meaning is accomplished in conventional truth, and in terms of ultimate truth, it is shown that there is no fault because there is no increase or decrease, as it is also said in the sutra: "Subhuti, it is so, it is so.

As shown. It is taught that the meaning that cannot be expressed is neither increasing nor completely decreasing. Even so, if it is argued that it cannot function even in the conventional sense, it is also stated in the Sutra: Subhuti asked: O Bhagavan, does the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with the first generation of the mind, realize the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment? etc. As a response to that, it is shown that one will comprehend the eight aspects of profound Dharma nature through the example of a lamp, and the example is also in the Sutra: The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, for a wise person, the meaning of what is said can be understood through an example, therefore, in order to understand the meaning of what is said, I will show you an example. etc. The first profound Dharma nature is that, by thoroughly understanding that it is neither the previous moment nor the later moment, nor is it without self-nature, one generates a particularly excellent meaning, which is the profound dependent origination. It is also stated in the Sutra: The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, likewise, even with the first generation of the mind, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva will not realize the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. etc. The second point that is made is that things are without self-nature from the beginning, and even in the conventional sense, they cease. It is also stated in the Sutra: The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, what do you think? Do you think that the mind that has ceased will arise again? etc.
