Seeing blue, yellow, red, and white, it transforms into eight forms. Among them, "blue" refers to the words of the teachings. "Color blue" refers to approaching the innate blue. "Appearing as blue" refers to approaching the blue that arises from mixing. "Blue color" refers to approaching the light that emanates from both of them. "Subduing with power" refers to the reason for complete control. "Subduing with power" refers to the path of tranquility. "Seeing by subduing with power" refers to the path of insight. The so-called "such cognition" is because there is no arrogant cognition towards subduing with power and not subduing with power. Among the two examples, one is innate. The second is to explain that it arises from mixed colors. For example, flowers and cloths all appear as blue. The so-called "color blue" refers to the case of flowers, because its blue is innate. The so-called "appearing as blue" refers to the case of cloth, because its blue arises from mixing. The so-called "seeing blue" refers to both the case of flowers and cloth, because both appear as color. Even with such examples, it is like the perfect flowers like Omaka, and the blue like the cloth of Varanasi, saying "color blue" and so on, is reasonable. Yellow is the flower of Karnika, red is the flower of Bandhujivaka, white is the perfect light like stars, and cloth, because it is controlled by the power of the object of focus. This is the birth place of subduing with power. What is without affliction? The samadhi of a yogi who abides in meditation, not causing affliction to others and guarding and abiding, and the mind and mental factors that are perfectly in accordance with that wisdom, because they do not generate the enemy of afflictions that exist in the continuum of others, therefore it is.

Free from afflictions. The difference between the Shravakas and the Buddhas in being free from afflictions is as follows: As it is said, "Shravakas are gods free from afflictions, They completely abandon human afflictions, The cities of the Victors and so on, They cut off the stream of afflictions, free from afflictions." This is how it is taught. Thus, the Shravakas, if they see any sentient beings in cities and so on and afflictions arise, they wish to completely abandon human afflictions, thinking it should not be so. However, they do not look at them. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, think, "May it not become a cause of affliction by focusing on oneself." They desire to look at them very much, and having looked, they uproot the cause of affliction. What is knowing after aspiration? By abiding in meditation, one makes the aspiration, "I shall know this." Thus, by the power of aspiration, one obtains it as before, knowing the three times, or whatever one desires to know, one makes the aspiration in one's mind, "I shall know this." Having entered into Samadhi, when one arises from it, that aspiration will be accomplished, and the object of knowledge will also be known. Among them, the difference between the Shravakas and the Buddhas in knowing the place of aspiration is as follows: As it is said, "The Buddha's knowing of the place of aspiration, Is spontaneously accomplished and abandons habitual tendencies, Is unimpeded and constantly abides, And desires to answer all questions." This is how it is taught. Among them, what is called "spontaneously accomplished" means entering naturally. What is called "abandoning habitual tendencies" means the continuity is not interrupted. What is called "unimpeded" means entering into all objects of knowledge. What is called "constantly abiding" means abiding in constant equipoise. What is called "desiring to answer all questions" means answering all questions that are asked. What is called "the door of the Shravakas" should be understood as the opposite of this. What are the six Abhijna? The Abhijna of the realm of miraculous powers, the divine eye, the divine ear, knowing the minds of others, remembering past lives, and the Abhijna of the exhaustion of defilements. The explanation of these is just as it is explained in the "Detailed Explanation of Instructions." The four specific knowledges: the specific knowledge of the Dharma is abiding in meditation.
