Together with thorns and the like, and this great earth is composed of the element of earth, summarized from the opposite aspects of these; similarly, from the opposite aspects of completely clinging to self, and from the opposite aspects of clinging to the four castes, it is approximately summarized. The opposite of these is: in any case, in my Buddha-field, even the names of the four castes will not exist. Thus it is declared. Therefore, the manner of castes is meaningless, because it is declared that "this is a Brahmin" and "this is a commoner" and so on. From sentient beings of superior, intermediate, and inferior quality, as well as good and bad complexion, being controlled by others except for these two dharmas, and except for mindfulness and the like, and the three places of birth other than apparitional birth divided by going, and being separated from supernormal knowledge, and butchers and the like who are leaking, and not possessing light, and day and night, and the sun and the moon and so on, and short life, and being separated from the marks of a great man, and not possessing the roots of virtue capable of serving the Buddha, and from the opposite aspects of diseases arising from the imbalance of elements, it is approximately summarized. The opposite of these is: wind, bile, phlegm, and diseases caused by aggregation, those that have arisen and those that have not arisen, are eliminated in order, and not arising, and approximately summarized by treatments that are in accordance, and from desire and the like, and believing in vehicles such as the Hearers, and from the opposite of the arrogant, according to their respective situations, entering into being summarized by those and those perfect forms in their own Buddha-field, is to practice the six perfections and also come close to omniscience, and from the opposite of having limited life and the Sangha of monks, making them limitless, generating the mind to manifest enlightenment, and as many Buddha-fields as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, so many realms of all the worlds become one Buddha-field, the intention to manifest perfect enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment.

Then, with a mind that fully enjoys the realm of sentient beings, which is as limitless as the sky, without any existence of samsara or nirvana, one perfects the six perfections and comes close to omniscience. The goddess Ganga, with the root of virtue of vowing to purify the Buddha-field in such a way, was prophesied to attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, so the retinue believed that they would attain the purification of the Buddha-field as described, and became the senses by the meaning of the senses. This is the detailed explanation of the pure Buddha-field. The detailed explanation of skillful means. After teaching the pure Buddha-field, skillful means will be explained. First, its object and combination should be stated, i.e., what should be explained. The object of skillful means is as stated in the sutra, starting from showing the different combinations of one's own object as spoken by skillful means there and there, from emptiness, etc., to becoming accustomed to the aspects of enlightenment, entering into samadhi, meditating, and being completely familiar, which is the object of skillful means shown by meaning. As it is said in the sutra: "Bhagavan, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom become familiar with emptiness?" Starting from here, until "How does one enter into samadhi by being completely familiar with emptiness?", etc. The combination of skillful means is to discriminate form as emptiness and to approach skillful means. As it is said in the sutra: "Subhuti, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva separately observe emptiness that possesses all supreme aspects?" Starting from here, until "Knowing that it is not the time to become accustomed to meditation and realization." The emptiness that possesses all supreme aspects mentioned here is not separate from generosity, not separate from ethics, not separate from patience, etc., which can be quoted from the Ratnakuta Sutra. Means are kinds.
