Moreover, by this, later the attainment of all-knowingness is because it possesses immeasurable qualities. Because of this, since it cannot be measured, it is all-knowingness. Thus, as it is said: Subhuti, what is the reason for that? Thus, because of that, by this, one obtains wisdom that transcends boundaries and has no limits, as well as wisdom that is extremely difficult to realize, and it cannot be taken away by the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The Blessed One repeated and proclaimed it by personally manifesting it. Among them, the boundless is due to the boundlessness of the aspects. The endless is because it is not an object in all places. Therefore, it is said that due to individual realization, one cannot exhaust the world including the gods. The Blessed One showed the aspects of this irreversibility by the power of knowledge, etc. Although the Blessed One acts, it is shown that because it would become an extremely excessive answer, one should contemplate in the way of the path of meditation. This sutra is a broad explanation of this, summarized by five verses: The cessation of form, etc., the aggregates of perception, the mind is steadfast, liberation from inferior vehicles, the complete cessation of the reversed meditative states and other limbs, the lightness of body and mind, skillful means in the practice of desire, constant celibacy, a completely pure life, perfect uninterruptedness, and having retinues and自在retinues, in battle, towards stinginess, etc., union and compliance, abiding in individual prohibitions, not fixating on the Dharma even as a particle, certainty in one's own ground, abiding in the three grounds, sacrificing life for the sake of the Dharma, such sixteen moments are the signs of irreversibility for the wise ones in the path of seeing. The explanation of the nature of the irreversible Bodhisattva. Having shown the nature of the irreversible Bodhisattva in the stage of the path of seeing, now we will speak of the nature of irreversibility while abiding in the path of meditation. The path of meditation is profound.

That is to say, O Bhagavan, please skillfully explain the profound place. This is so that one can repeatedly become familiar with meditation, thereby understanding meditation. Therefore, it is spoken with repetitive phrases. If someone asks, where does one abide to be called a great Bodhisattva? Answer: Abiding in the path of continuous meditation, that is what is to be explained. From the four mindfulnesses to the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, one must fully practice. This is to understand that the path of meditation is the cause of the complete Dharma of the Buddha, so it is explained in this way. So, how is the path of meditation profound? Profound is emptiness and so on. That is to say, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, non-action, non-birth, detachment, cessation, nirvana, peace, suchness, and the ultimate limits are all profound places. Again, why are emptiness and so on called profound? The profound is liberated from the paths of addition and subtraction. That is to say, what is the suchness of form, it is not form; apart from the suchness of form, there is no form, etc., because these are profound, therefore it is said that all dharmas are profound. How to eliminate addition? That is, it is not form, and there is no form in suchness, that is what is to be explained. How to eliminate subtraction? That is, nirvana is explained. Because there is no suchness outside of form. It is explained that after eliminating all dharmas, it is nirvana. So, what is the path of meditation like? Repeatedly thinking, measuring, and determining, that is the path of meditation. What is explained is, when one is in accordance with these profound places, the meaning of explaining with repetitive phrases is that thinking refers to the wisdom of hearing, measuring refers to the nature of thinking, and determining refers to the wisdom of the nature of meditation. So, what is the object of the path of meditation like? The decisive part and the path of seeing, as well as the path of meditation.
