Because it is the complete practice of the path of omniscience, as it is said in the scriptures: Practicing the Prajñāpāramitā is also practicing the path of omniscience while abiding in the Dāna-pāramitā. Taking hold of the extremely profound emptiness without attachment, likewise taking hold without fault, likewise taking hold of non-contention, and so on. The unfavorable aspects of the antidotes such as generosity are the aspects of compliance, as it is said in the scriptures: Attachment arises towards generosity, and attachment to violating precepts arises towards discipline, and so on. The meaning of the remaining superknowledges is easy to understand, so it is not differentiated. After teaching the instructions on the six superknowledges, the instructions on the path of seeing should be explained, which is taught through the blessing of the venerable Subhuti. The venerable Subhuti, through skillful means, personally taught the Prajñāpāramitā, as it is said in the scriptures: Shariputra, the Tathagata teaches the Prajñāpāramitā to the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas with skillful means, which is not the realm of all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and so on. Why does he teach through the mouth of others? It is to enable others to attain this meaning as well, and because of the practice, it is to abandon the fault of not being worthy of being grasped by oneself. Why does he teach through the mouth of the Shravakas? It is to make known that he has attained the blessing. Why does he teach only through the mouth of the venerable Subhuti? Because he is the most excellent of those who abide without afflictions, and because he has an equal share of freedom from afflictions, he is superior, therefore he is a teacher who is in accordance with the path of seeing. Thus, venerable Subhuti, well done! well done! How the Tathagata declared the Shravakas to be the most excellent of those who abide without afflictions, this teaching is also similar to that.

From whence was it spoken? Therein, from the sixteen moments of the path of seeing, it was spoken from the standpoint of the forbearance of the knowledge of dharma in suffering, namely: the Perfection of Wisdom, the name of a Bodhisattva, the aggregates, the sense bases, and the elements, each of those is merely a designation. As it says in the sutra: Subhuti, thus it is, although one says sentient being, sentient being, no sentient being is apprehended at all. Whatever is a dharma designated by name, and so forth, is what was spoken. From the standpoint of the knowledge of dharma in suffering, it is taught that those are also examined, therefore birth and cessation are prevented. As it says: Whatever is a designated dharma, for that, other than merely applying the terms name and convention, there is no birth or cessation. Otherwise, it is designated by name, that is what was spoken. Whatever is taught as the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of suffering, the aggregates and so forth, and the six feelings and six consciousnesses, each is separated, namely: permanence and impermanence, happiness and suffering, self and non-self, peace and non-peace, emptiness and non-emptiness, sign-bearing and signless, aspiration-bearing and aspirationless, conditioned and unconditioned, birth and cessation, solitude and non-solitude, virtue and non-virtue, with fault and without fault, with defilements and without defilements, with afflictions and without afflictions, mundane and supramundane, contaminated and purified, samsara and nirvana, these views are prevented. As it says: When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not truly see form as permanent or impermanent. He does not truly see form as happiness or suffering, thus it is extensively spoken. Whatever is taught as subsequent knowledge of suffering, why is that? Because for all dharmas, it is the cause of non-discrimination, as it says: Subhuti, thus it is

When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he does not conceptualize or discriminate all dharmas, etc. This is what is said. Among them, showing the forbearance of knowing the Dharma in arising is because it prevents the characteristics of all defiled and purified dharmas. As it is said: When he practices the Prajnaparamita, he clearly understands the nature of dharmas. Whatever the nature of dharmas is, it will not become defiled, nor will it become purified. This is what is said. Among them, showing the knowledge of the Dharma in arising is because it prevents attachment to the skandhas and the six consciousnesses. As it is said in the sutra: He understands that the dharmas are named by names and terms, so he will not be attached to form, nor will he be attached to feeling, nor will he be attached to perception, etc. This is what is said. Among them, showing the subsequent knowledge of forbearance in arising is because he prevents attachment by holding on to the paramitas such as giving, all emptiness, maturing sentient beings, purifying the Buddha land, skillful means, and not focusing on all dharmas. As it is said in the sutra: He will not be attached to the perfection of giving, nor will he be attached to the perfection of morality, etc. Why is that? Because in this way, whoever is attached, or with what is attached, or to what dharma is attached, these are not truly existent. This is what is said. Among them, showing the subsequent knowledge in arising is because practicing in this way increases the paramitas, thereby entering the faultless state of the Bodhisattva. As it is said in the sutra: Practicing in this way without attachment increases the perfection of giving and all dharmas, until entering the faultless state of the Bodhisattva. This is what is said. Among them, to cessation
