It is said that since the initial and subsequent bodhicittas do not meet each other, there is no accumulation of roots of virtue that have been correctly accomplished in three countless eons, so what is the bodhicitta that will become enlightened to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment was asked. Now, how will it occur? It is known in the world: Like the example of a lamp. It is said that, just as the example of a burning wick shows that both bodhicittas have fruits, so since bodhicitta becomes its object, by studying the ten bhumis, it is known to be unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, which is neither the initial nor the subsequent bodhicitta. It is said that without relying on them, it is not possible to attain complete enlightenment. How is this to be understood? It is said: The profound nature of reality is completely continuous. It is to be connected with following the circumstances here. How are there eight aspects? There are eight profound aspects. What are they? Birth and cessation, suchness and knowable, knowledge and conduct, non-duality and skillful means are profound. Among them, the profoundness of birth is that since it is not possible to attain complete enlightenment without relying on them, dependent origination is profound. The profoundness of cessation is what is explained by preventing the arising of the mind. As it is said: Subhuti, what do you think? Will the mind that has ceased arise again? Bhagavan, it will not. The mind that has arisen has the nature of cessation, so for those who have that nature, it is explained by preventing cessation. As it is said: Subhuti, what do you think? Does the mind that has arisen have the nature of cessation? Bhagavan, it has the nature of cessation. What do you think? Will that which has the nature of cessation cease? Bhagavan, it will not. What does this mean? Because what has arisen immediately tends towards cessation, what is contained by cessation is its nature, so what else?

It is said to exist in emptiness. Suchness is profound, meaning that suchness abides as it is, therefore, contemplating it as an object of non-conceptualization, it is said to transform into the nature of the ultimate limit. The knowable is profound, meaning that it is said to be nothing other than mind from suchness. Knowledge is profound, meaning that suchness does not see suchness. As it is said: Suchness does not see suchness. Conduct is profound, meaning that such conduct does not act on anything, therefore, engaging in the profound Prajnaparamita is permissible. Why is that? Because abiding in suchness, there is no activity such as prophecy. Non-duality is profound, meaning that in the conduct of ultimate truth, there is no activity of duality. For bodhisattvas, it is said that there is no combination of concepts with or without signs. Skillful means are profound, meaning that from the ten powers, etc., to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, it is completely perfected, not done, with the skillful means of preventing the attainment of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, preventing any dharma from being real or unreal. Why is that? Because abiding in the knowledge that the self-nature of all dharmas is emptiness, for sentient beings who engage in discordant aspects, placing them in the corresponding antidotes, therefore, it is said to be skillful in maturing sentient beings. The bodhisattva learners who are on the path of seeing and meditation, the irreversible sangha has been explained. The equality of samsara and nirvana is declared. Now, in order to show the characteristics of the non-learning sangha, the equality of samsara and nirvana will be declared. What should be learned is only this much, for example, in order to abandon the conceptualizations of all defilements, and in order to abandon the conceptualizations of purification. Realizing the equality of these two will lead to becoming a non-learner, because that
