The ninth ground is great, the great and so on are defilements, the antidote is small and small, and the path of and so on is pure. Thus it is said. Among them, the aspect of the small and small path is: Subhuti, also, whatever is the purity of the perfection of wisdom, that is the purity of form. Whatever is the purity of form, thus it is said, up to the purity of all knowledge. Likewise, whatever is the purity of the perfection of meditation, thus it is said and so on. The small and medium is: Subhuti, whatever is the purity of inner emptiness, that is, the purity of form, thus it is said and so on. The small and great is: Subhuti, also, whatever is the purity of the conditioned, that is the purity of the unconditioned. Whatever is the purity of the unconditioned, that is, the purity of the past, thus it is said and so on. The medium and small is: Blessed One, this purity is profound. Shariputra, because of the purity of form, the purity is profound, thus it is said and so on. The medium and medium is: Blessed One, the purity is manifest. Shariputra, because of the purity. The purity is manifest, thus it is said and so on. The medium and great is: Blessed One, the purity is without continuity. Shariputra, the form without change and without continuity is purity, thus it is said and so on. The great and small is: Blessed One, the purity is, without pervasive affliction. Shariputra, because of the extreme absence of pervasive affliction. Form and feeling, etc., are said. The great and medium is: Blessed One, the purity is, without attainment and realization.

So-called purity is non-manifestation. Shariputra, because it is extremely non-manifest. What is said about form and feeling, etc., is what it means. From the perspective of counteracting the three realms, in terms of the path of cultivation, World Honored One, purity is not born in the desire realm, the form realm, or the formless realm. Shariputra, because the nature of the three realms is unattainable, purity does not arise. This is what is said. From the perspective of the equality of the measurer and the measured, World Honored One, purity is not to be sought. Shariputra, all phenomena are themselves inanimate objects. Form and feeling are unknowable, etc. Why is that? Because the nature of all phenomena is emptiness. This is what is said. Therefore, by eliminating disputes, the path is the purity of the measurer and the measured. The equality of the three realms is considered its antidote. This is to say, if dualistic conceptualization leads to great opposition, such as the great of the great, etc., and the antidote becomes the small of the small, etc., isn't that so? The Prajnaparamita does not even help with omniscience. Shariputra, because the realm of phenomena is abiding. This is what is said. Then, what can be produced by striving to accumulate merit? World Honored One, the purity of the Prajnaparamita does not hold any dharma. Shariputra, because the realm of phenomena is ungraspable. This is what is said. Will there be no attainment or realization at all? World Honored One, in the two purities, there is no attainment, no realization. Because there is no complete defilement and purification. By closely grasping the way of knowing the path, the Prajnaparamita of Subhuti Bodhisattva can fully reveal all situations. After doing so, becoming dull, etc., and the path of the Shravaka Pratyekabuddha

Purity, etc. Through the merits of this and others, the path of seeing great benefit, to practice and to have faith, to praise and to respect and to extol, to dedicate and to rejoice, to attend to the unsurpassed. Accomplishing and utterly purifying, this is the path of meditation, of the wise Bodhisattvas, the knowledge of the path is explained as such. What was said thus, should be regarded as a past connection here. The explanation of the words of the categories is, in terms of the path of the Hearers, sixteen aspects are established on the object of the four truths. O Blessed One, we also should instruct the Bodhisattvas in the six perfections, to teach accordingly, to cause them to take them up, to teach them correctly, to praise them, to rejoice them correctly, to cause them to abide, to cause them to abide well. What was said thus, should be done like this at first. Namely, to show closeness, and to repeatedly familiarize with that, to cause the negligent to have faith in this Dharma, to cause the ignorant to awaken, to cause the weak in diligence to rejoice, to cause the timid to truly delight, to definitely combine on the path, in terms of causing them to be definite in that, the eight sentences should be understood in order. In terms of the Self-Buddha, it is established without abandoning the conceptual thoughts of their grasping. Venerable Subhuti, thus profound, thus not to be examined, thus not to be the domain of thought, thus subtle, thus refined, thus difficult to see, thus difficult to realize, thus excellent, thus the noble ones have power, thus the Prajnaparamita which should be known by the wise and intelligent, who will take these up? What was said thus, namely, liberation from superimposition, and not being the object of mind and discrimination, and being determined by the Dharma of Yoga, that is, transcending thought, and the subtle nature of the essence, and the uninterrupted path from the lineage to the attainment of the Dharmakaya, and should be viewed.
