From 'should not rely on' to 'this is skillful means, this is not skillful means,' like this, manifesting attachment, particularly abiding, and completely knowing, for a great Bodhisattva, craving for the Dharma that accords with it will become a fault,' and so on. It is craving for the Dharma that accords with realization. 'Accords with' means craving for the Dharma that enters the path. 'Fault' is a synonym for affliction. Craving for the Dharma that accords with realization is said to be a great fault of the Bodhisattva's crown. Based on that, 'O venerable Shariputra! A great Bodhisattva who is not skilled in means, practicing the six perfections, relying on the three doors of liberation, will not fall into the ground of hearers and solitary realizers, nor will he enter the faultless ground of Bodhisattvas. This is a great fault of the Bodhisattva's crown,' that is what was said. Furthermore, what is the faultlessness of a Bodhisattva? Starting from 'not seeing outer emptiness as inner emptiness,' for those who each see emptiness in various ways, it is said by mutually preventing each other. This is because one's own nature and characteristics disappear, so it shows the cessation of no characteristics. Here, the path is also without characteristics. What is said is, 'By learning in that way, one can know form, but one should not be arrogant because of it,' to 'one should know the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha, but one should not be arrogant because of it,' and 'one should know the mind of enlightenment, but one should not be arrogant because of it.' This is because there is no characteristic of arrogance, so it is the path without characteristics, thus showing the difference in the object of the truth of the path. If asked, 'Because it is like a raft, should it also be abandoned?' The answer is, 'Why?' It is said, 'Mind is not mind, it is the nature of mind, because it is luminous.' What is the luminous nature of mind? 'O venerable Shariputra! Any mind that is desire, from... to hearers.'
