This is the concluding phrase called "dedication without specification." Although one can equally dedicate to these for unsurpassed Bodhi, temporarily specifying these guests as "these" for dedication, that is the meaning. Here, the guests are determined to be four types, and all that appears and does not appear is included in these four without exception. To explain these four, they are called guests of service, because they are objects of worship and praise by worldly people, including gods, with respectful attitudes, therefore they are called guests of service. What is the substance? Here, one should understand the guests as the essence and the definitive words. The so-called Buddha refers to the three bodies, including the Dharmakaya. Why? Because it is said in the tantras: "Awakened from the sleep of ignorance, and because wisdom increases, therefore is Buddha." Like that. The so-called Bodhisattva refers to those who, from being fond of engaging in the work of determination, abide with the difference of realization from the first bhumi to the tenth bhumi. That is also from the Ornament of Clear Realization, which says: "Bodhi is the nature of space, abandoning all conceptual thoughts, whoever wants to realize it is called a Bodhisattva." Like that. Why? Because the two causes of abandonment are abandoned without attachment, and having realized the knowable, which is the object to be realized by wisdom, having perfected the two accumulations and realized, and being very mindful of the two objects of thought, and having courage in those two. The so-called Hearers refer to the individuals who enter the four doors, practice and obtain the eight causes and effects. Why? Because they hear and understand the words spoken by the Buddha, like with miraculous ears, therefore they are named as such. The so-called Pratyekabuddhas refer to the great wise ones who abide alone, and those who do not abide alone, because they rely on one teacher, they abide in groups. Why? Because they want to obtain and have obtained the fruit by examining with their own wisdom. Those are also the mind-born sons, speech-born sons, and blessing-born sons of the Buddha. The so-called "etc." refers to including those who have entered the door of those three Bodhis. To explain the second type of guest, called the guest of merit, merit

Merely those oath-bound protectors who have been blessed with great power. To teach about them, "Brahma" refers to: in the realm of Paranirmita-vasavartin, being surrounded by Brahma's retinue and ruling over them. Why? Because they are far from the desire realm's attachment and similar to the lawsuits and judgments of the ten non-virtuous actions. "Indra" refers to: in the realm of the Trayastrimsha, being surrounded by the king of the thirty-three gods, ministers, and attendants. Why? Because the king of the gods of the desire realm, Yāvatīna Kapati, with the wish-fulfilling jewel (Sanskrit: चिन्तामणि, cintāmaṇi) as the cause of enjoyment, makes offerings with a hundredfold enjoyment arising from it, and distributes a hundredfold of generosity, therefore called Indra. "The Four Great Kings" refers to: the four, starting with Dhṛtarāṣṭra, who rule and reside on the four sides of Mount Sumeru, and the four classes of beings such as Gandharvas. Why? Because they keep the past oaths in mind until the outer and inner worlds of vessel and essence do not undergo formation and destruction in their respective directions, therefore called the Four Great Kings. "The Eleven Directional Guardians" refers to: definitely the eleven, starting with the Bhūtarāja Vaśin. Why? Because they reside in the eastern and other directions, keep the past oaths in mind, and protect peacefully in their respective directions, therefore called the Ten Directional Guardians. "The Oath-Bound Protectors" refers to: the leaders of the eight classes of gods and demons (Devanāga), and the guardians of temples, such as Bhadra. Why? Because they protect the Dharma through vows, and protect the yogis by keeping the past oaths in mind. Therefore, they are called "The Oath-Bound Protectors." To proclaim the third type of guest, "The compassionate guests, the sentient beings of the six realms" refers to: the beings of the six realms such as gods and humans. Why? Because they are tormented and afflicted by the three and eight sufferings, and are definitely six in number, hence the meaning of "The compassionate guests, the sentient beings of the six realms." Especially my Dharma protectors, refers to worldly beings like Yakshas
