The mind is completely pure, free from the extremes of elaboration, and inexpressible because it is empty of arising, abiding, and ceasing, and without form. Thus, in the Sutra Known as Vimalakirti, it is also said: 'The nature of form is emptiness, but it is not empty by being destroyed.' Likewise, from feeling to consciousness, it is not empty by being destroyed, but because it is free from inherent existence. In the Guhyasamaja Tantra, it is also said: 'One's own mind is primordially unborn, it is the nature of emptiness.' It is also said in the Sutra Compendium, the Collection of True Dharmas: 'All dharmas are without object, therefore consciousness does not enter into them.' Again, in the same text, it is said: 'Bhagavan, not seeing all dharmas is true seeing.' If all dharmas are without inherent existence, then all the world will become like flowers in the sky. Therefore, terms such as seeing, hearing, distinguishing, noble ones, and non-noble ones will cease to exist. If one says this, this objection is not meaningful. The inherent nature of things, following the path of reason, eliminates the desires of others, therefore the objector has no ground to stand on. Whether it is existence or non-existence, whatever one does not accept, no one can object to. From the state of childhood up to the omniscient wisdom, if one does not examine the experienced appearances, I have not prohibited the enjoyable things. However, whatever is examined by the Samkhyas and others, that does not exist. Therefore, saying that all dharmas are without inherent existence is not a mistaken view of the meaning of emptiness. Therefore, in reality, no thing is established. Therefore, the Tathagatas said: 'All dharmas are unborn.' If things are analyzed, there is no oneness in this and that. For that which does not have oneness, there is also no multiplicity. No truly established thing exists, because it is free from the nature of one and many. Apart from one and many, a thing with another form is impossible, because these two exist by mutually excluding each other. Therefore, in reality, arising, abiding, and ceasing are also

will not change. Therefore, it is said in the teachings of Blo-gros rgya-mtsho: Those that arise dependently are not real things at all. Those that are without essence do not arise anywhere. Thus it is said. Also, in the Sutra of the Elephant's Strength: If that dharma which has arisen is not perceived at all, then children think that the dharmas that have not arisen will arise. Thus it is said. Again it is said: These things spoken of as self and other are not from self, not from other, not from both, not without cause. No thing whatsoever ever has birth. Therefore, no one can find fault with the unborn essence. Also, in the Sutra of the Source of Jewels: If it does not have its own nature, how can other conditions change it because it has no own nature? How can it be produced by others because it has no own nature? Thus it is said. Also, it is said in the Sutra of the Meeting of Father and Son: Any dharma that does not have its own nature is without things. Whatever does not have things is not completely established. Whatever is not completely established does not produce. Whatever does not produce does not cease. Whatever is unborn and unceasing is not to be designated as past. It is not to be designated as future and present. Therefore, in the ultimate sense, one is free from all the nets of elaboration such as things and non-things, arising and non-arising, emptiness and non-emptiness, and so on. Therefore, views of permanence and annihilation should be abandoned far from this scripture. Moreover, relying on the conventional truth, a similar result arises from a similar cause, and a pure result arises from a pure cause, abiding in faith, desire, knowing shame, having embarrassment, and being careful, studying from generosity to wisdom, accumulating things, immeasurable, striving for the qualities of learning, mindfulness, perfect abandonment, striving for the feet of miracles, and so on, one will obtain the fruit of a wheel-turning king, Brahma, Indra, the enlightenment of a Hearer, the enlightenment of a Solitary Buddha, and the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment of a Buddha.
