Beings of the world are attached to arising and ceasing. Therefore, the Tathagata, with great compassion, speaks of arising and ceasing as a convenience, in order to abandon the fearful places of the world. In reality, there is no dharma here that arises. Therefore, what is indicated by words such as non-arising and emptiness is the non-dual Suchness. If someone says, why is this non-duality not taught in the Vinaya and other scriptures? It is because they have little diligence. That is to say, they only strive for their own benefit and only do what proclaims the truth. For the samadhi of the selflessness of all dharmas, it is like a cliff, so the non-dual truth is not taught. The Buddhas do not teach all things to everyone, but only guide according to the inclinations of beings. Bodhisattvas have deep and vast intentions, and need all dharmas, so in order to guide all beings, they teach them non-dual wisdom. Because the only practice that benefits others is unsurpassed Bodhi, and only Bodhisattvas can strive to benefit all sentient beings. Because their actions are always solely for the purpose of benefiting others. What more is there to say? By gradually accumulating stainless merit and wisdom, one obtains the state of Samantabhadra or Buddha, and thus engages in the activity of benefiting all beings, attaining the supreme state of Sugata. Therefore, one should practice in this way with great compassion, becoming a means of benefiting all sentient beings, and focusing more on benefiting others. Even if they become Buddhas, they will not, like the Shravaka Vehicle, prioritize their own benefit. Here is an example, just as the Bodhisattva Dharma Arya, Bodhisattvas have greed

Not turning one's back on the world is the very path known by great Bodhisattvas. Because they do not wish to turn their backs on desire, etc., yet they also accomplish the unsurpassed state. As it is said, desire, etc., itself becomes a condition for enlightenment. If one thinks, "How can those who have not abandoned afflictions become manifestly enlightened?" It is because all dharmas are unborn from the very beginning. Afflictions or the abandonment thereof are none other than suchness itself. Therefore, one does not see what the affliction is, nor what is to be abandoned. By this sequence, will one attain the state of complete perfection without exception, or not? One should contemplate thus. Even if one has not abandoned desire, if one becomes Samantabhadra, what is the use of abandoning it? Furthermore, here the abandonment of desire has been shown to you, yet why have you not realized it? This is because, with the clinging to self as a precursor, attachment to objects that distinguish self and others, etc., are the pervasive desires, etc. However, for those who have uprooted the grasping at self from the very root, there is no distinction between self and others. Because all their dharmas abide in the world in a state of complete nirvana with the thought of the equality of essence. If there is no imputation to desirable and undesirable objects, why would desire, etc., arising from perversion not arise? It is also said: Whoever surely burns the firewood of the view of the aggregates, which generates all faults, Uprooting from the root the objects that distinguish self and others, that is the cause of generating faults. Even if faultless, like the wise, with compassion towards actions like illusory beings, The virtuous one, by the power of previous aspirations, will engage effortlessly, like the force of a turning wheel. If one has entered the Great Vehicle, the Bodhisattvas who have donned the armor of great compassion, although they realize that all dharmas are without self, and do not even fixate on the mere name of sentient beings, and abide in the essence of non-fixation, nevertheless, by the force propelled by the power of previous aspirations, they effortlessly engage.

For those beings who are drowning in the swamp of existence, which arises from the cause of ignorance since beginningless time, he is thoroughly engaged in saving them. That is to say: Whoever is good at giving away life, sons, wives, property, etc., like grass for the sake of the poor, and the holy sentient beings who share the burden in order to save the three realms, from then on, who else on earth is more attached to love than him? The reason for saying this is that those who are devoted to the means of benefiting the three realms do not think only of themselves. Therefore, it is precisely because of relying on the attachment of great compassion that it is said to be relying on a superior attachment. Moreover, since great compassion also goes to the extreme, and the power of the habits of others' needs is completely fulfilled, it is said that it is unreasonable to become the all-knowing one who accomplishes all things perfectly, so this detailed explanation is enough. Question: How can Bodhisattvas who realize that all dharmas are without self-nature and abide in non-objectification engage in benefiting sentient beings in samsara? If they engage in benefiting sentient beings, then they will not abide in the wisdom of non-objectification, because whether it is due to the object of desire, or due to the ability to desire, or due to the realm of desire, they cannot engage in non-objectification. Answer: This is due to the driving force of the aspiration of the past, those noble ones effortlessly engage in benefiting sentient beings. Haven't we said that before? That is to say: By his blessing alone, the practitioner, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, can preach the Dharma even in works such as walls, and manifest as he pleases. Therefore, the meaning of the Great Vehicle is the most worthy of acceptance. Abide in this. Question: What is the difference between the Great Vehicle and other vehicles? Because the fruits are the same. Answer: Here we must explain what the difference is: Aspiration and practice, as well as profundity and vastness, non-retrogression, and obtaining the fruit, the Great Vehicle is more excellent. These aspirations and so on become the cause from above to above, the supreme state of the Sugata.
