Having passed from this place, below it, through the succession of masters passing from one to another, it is impossible for a Mahāyāna yogi to abandon wrong views in this very life and attain true wisdom with respect to that unsurpassed wisdom teaching. Because that beginningless nature of ignorance, possessing a reversed nature, the nature of karma and afflictions, endless suffering such as birth, the nature of moments passing from one to another, the ocean called saṃsāra, is extremely difficult to cross. That is, countless Sugatas, such as the Śrāvakas, practice austerities for countless eons, and likewise, through cultivating the noble truths, abandoning after a very long time with the joy of becoming accustomed to various virtuous actions, etc., thus it is taught in the Śrāvakayāna. Therefore, how can a Mahāyāna yogi abandon wrong views in this very life and attain true wisdom? Here it will be said that the Mahāyāna yogi has learned in previous lives the means of not reversing the oral instructions, the greatness of the nature of abiding in the supreme vehicle, being great himself, not forgetting the roots of virtue and striving, with the oral instructions of the means of true wisdom, and likewise, because of becoming accustomed to cultivating the power of intense diligence, wisdom will be attained in this very life. And it is heard that the venerable Nāgārjuna and others, in this very life, have become accustomed to cultivating the oral instructions by means of non-reversal, abiding in the grounds such as the Extremely Joyful Ground, and perfecting the pāramitās such as the grounds of giving, etc., and have attained the wisdom of obtaining forbearance in wisdom and the law of birth. Thus, it is heard that they have abandoned wrong views, which are characterized by karma and afflictions, and the obscurations of knowledge, in this very life, and have attained true wisdom. Likewise, it will arise from others, because this great nature of the vast Dharma nature is not inherently existent. Thus, in the Avataṃsaka Sūtra, it says, for example,

Just as fire burns a forest, turning it to ashes in an instant. The fire of wisdom burns the yogi, all karmas are burned away in an instant. For those with karmic imprints, mundane time is long. The imprints of yogic wisdom destroy everything in an instant. Just as darkness is extremely deep, a lamp destroys it in an instant. The Muni dispels this ignorance with the lamp of wisdom. Thus it is said. Therefore, non-dual wisdom is the ultimate reality that those who desire liberation should take to heart. This has been shown by both scriptural and logical proofs. Here, the illusory fruit of the minds of children, which is not a true conceptualization, is sufficient. Now, in order to generate joy for the requests made by sons of faithful lineage who have special faith in the Mahayana, and for those who wish to attain complete liberation, to realize wisdom through the characteristics previously described, therefore, by showing skillful means, in order to accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, remembering the principles of wisdom, therefore, I will briefly explain this ritual of the order of meditation on the instructions. As it is said in the Mahayana, the direct realization of wisdom, and with reverence, preceding the order of rituals explained from its principles, supplicating the Lama, and by the grace received through that, one should begin to practice the yoga of the instructions of unsurpassed wisdom. Among them, first of all, after hearing the vast treatises, ascertain the ultimate reality of Suchness, the faithful one should sit on a soft seat, and the wise one should begin the yoga. The grasper and the grasped, and the non-duality of the two, self and other, and Nirvana, and the many conceptualizations called Samsara, completely abandon them, and the mind should rest in equanimity. Like a magical illusion and a city of Gandharvas, after completely observing all knowable objects, with the vajra of the wisdom of Suchness, completely destroy the illusory wheel of the body. In all aspects, it is extremely beautiful, devoid of beginning and end, inconceivable, with a thousand rays of immaculate light, completely dispel the darkness, like the sky, in the very essence of one's own nature, from the beginning.
