Present attainments, etc., are not obtained, but this dharani enables one to obtain attainments such as sky-faring in this life, therefore it is called excellent. The so-called listening means abandoning the words of expression and expressed of language, and one's own mind appears as the general form of sound. The so-called profound means that the meditator's meditation dwelling on sound is not understood by ordinary people, so it is called profound. Then, who can understand the meditation dwelling on sound? It is said to be the realm of the Buddha, because only the Buddha knows it. If you listen to this sutra, it means that if you practice the meditation dwelling on sound. The definition of meditation dwelling on sound has been explained. Now, let us explain the benefits of meditation dwelling on sound, the so-called, the glory of this sutra, means the benefits of meditation dwelling on sound. The so-called all sentient beings refers to the five realms of beings. The so-called all unbearable diseases refers to leprosy and so on. The so-called, look at them all being pacified, means to be liberated from unbearable great diseases. The so-called increase of life and merit means that from the previous ripening result, life is prolonged. For example, like refining the medicine of longevity. The so-called increase of merit means that all my perfections will increase. For example, whether it is a son or daughter of good family, if someone copies this Prajnaparamita into a book, or writes it down and holds it, or recites it, or reads it, or fully understands it, etc., and then makes offerings with flowers, etc., and performs offerings, etc., then his and her merit will increase. Also, like sowing seeds on the earth, if the causes and conditions are complete, it will be able to increase. The so-called liberation from all sins means that all unpleasant things will not happen. Or, abandoning all ten non-virtuous deeds, and the karmic obscurations that will inevitably be experienced. For example, like a person who abandons the ten non-virtuous deeds and practices the ten virtuous deeds. If you want to practice meditation dwelling on sound, then,

Also in the Later Samadhi, it says: Abiding in the secret mantra, it bestows accomplishments; remember that it bestows yoga abiding in sound; the ultimate of sound is indeed bestowing liberation. These are the three themselves. Thus it is said. The meditation abiding in sound is: Visualizing oneself as the deity, not visualizing as unattainable, and following with bliss. From the state of emptiness of one's own mind, in the sky, above the lunar disc, visualize that there are white dharani mantras and so on. Visualize the rays of that letter blazing like fire, and from the outside, at that time, do not visualize as unattainable either. In one's own mind, from namo ratna trayāya Homage to the Triple Gem) to amṛte hūṃ phaṭ (藏文,梵文天城体:अमृते हूँ फट्,梵文罗马拟音:amṛte hūṃ phaṭ,汉语字面意思:Immortality Hūṃ Phaṭ), the inherent sound of the letters emanates, and that sound is also like the sound of a bell, continuously visualizing one's own mind appearing as the form of the totality of sound. That is the meditation abiding in sound. If that is not done, then it is done with three objects of focus, or with four limbs. The three objects of focus are: Relying on sound, mind, and base. Abiding in the four secret mantra letters. Thus it is said in the Later Samadhi. The letters of the secret mantra, and its seat, the lunar disc, and the body of the Thus-Gone One. First, focus on the form, then focus on the lunar disc, then focus on the Bhagavan. The four limbs are: Visualizing the Bhagavan residing in the vase, visualizing oneself as the deity, and in the heart of those two, there is a lunar disc each, and on top of that, visualize that either a long mantra, or a heart mantra, or any of the essence of the family resides. Then, if the deity is explained as two, why are the mantra and the moon not explained as two each? Because merely gathering them inward, there are only three, so it is said the same there as well. Or, the secret mantra and recitation, even though the types are different, the negation of the separated is the same, but the deity may also be different, therefore the deity is explained as three, and the mantra and the moon are of the same type, so they are not explained separately. The method of reciting the mantra is two-fold: vajra speech, or with a gentle tone, not too slow and not too fast, pronounce the letters of the mantra and recite it. The number of those two is, if there is a main deity and retinue, then the main deity recites one hundred thousand times, and each of the retinue recites one hundred thousand times. If reciting by the number of letters, then
