It is called Yamantaka. There are two types of wrathful deities: one is the wrath that arises from attachment, hatred, and delusion, bound by afflictions; the other is the one who manifests in a wrathful form due to past aspirations and great compassion in order to subdue the untamed. Here, it refers to the one who manifests as a wrathful deity through past aspirations and compassion. It does not refer to the wrathful deities of the noble Manjushri, such as Manjuvara, Shangmuka, and countless others. To avoid confusion, the name of the wrathful deity is mentioned. The name of this wrathful deity is Yamantaka. The term Yamantaka, if reversed in meaning, can also be called 'indomitable.' Since beings are separated from life and enjoyment and eventually perish, in order to subdue them, it manifests in a form that corresponds to them, appearing as the main deity, hence the name Yamantaka. The hand symbols and abode of the wrathful deity Yamantaka are also described: 'The weapons blaze with flames.' The hand symbols shown include the trident, sword, etc., all blazing like flames. The wrathful deity himself also resides within the flames, being wrathful in the manner of subduing the untamed. 'Motion' means wrathful. And in what kind of posture is he wrathful? It is said, 'Fierce, powerful, and extremely fierce.' What is shown is that the wrathful deity arises from the circles of wind and fire, hence he is fierce. The wrathful deity possesses the power to subdue and tame the untamed others, hence he is called powerful and extremely fierce. Seeing this, the other wrathful deities. All lose their weapons. This shows the great power and qualities of the wrathful deity. Other wrathful deities beyond the world, seeing the wrathful deity Yamantaka, are all terrified and faint, losing their weapons. This is to show that Yamantaka is powerful for the sake of subduing beings. Likewise, the worldly. The gods bow with their bodies. The meaning of 'likewise' is as mentioned above, the wrathful deities beyond the world.

The other beings fainted from fear, and like weapons falling, the worldly gods also feared and cowered, all gathering from their respective places, prostrating and seeking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. This is the concluding remark. Furthermore, from "joining palms together" to "radiance blazing, illuminating all directions, seeing the three realms in turmoil," it means first praising and then praying. Additionally, from "joining palms together, making many praises out of fear," the "furthermore" means that not only did all the gods bow and prostrate, but those gods, out of fear, joined their palms and made many praises to the wrathful deity. As for how they praised, it is recorded in the root tantra, the Twelve Thousand Verses, but in this tantra, the teacher did not speak of it for fear of too much content. So, with what kind of words did they praise? It means praising the wrathful deity through the perfection of one's own benefit and the perfection of others' benefit. "The gods, oppressed by his radiance, spoke while being oppressed," which means that those worldly gods were also oppressed by the radiance of the wrathful deity, and while being oppressed, they clearly spoke. So, what did they say? It means "they said." "Bhagavan, we take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha," and other content can be referred to in the original text. "Extremely terrifying and fearful form, radiance blazing, illuminating all directions, seeing the three realms in turmoil," this refers to the specific parts of the wrathful deity's form. Such a form means seeing the subduing or creating of turmoil. From "when the gods and asuras, etc." to "the wrathful deity becomes peaceful again," it means becoming peaceful. That is to say, after subduing the evil ones such as gods and asuras, they took refuge in the Three Jewels out of fear, so the wrathful deity of Arya Manjushri also became peaceful again. From "the great wrathful deity named Yamantaka pacified" to "we have great doubts," it means stating. The rest can be referred to in the original text.
