The term "destruction" refers to the nature of the causes and conditions of all phenomena, the momentary impermanence. Its abiding state is like a mustard seed unable to stay on the tip of a needle. It cannot withstand examination, thus both cause and effect are understood as non-substantial. The saying, "The wisdom that abides in the inexpressible nature of phenomena arises," means that one understands that all phenomena are not real, and from this arises the wisdom that cannot be expressed. It also prevents speech, therefore it is said that all phenomena are inexpressible, and one abides in a samadhi of extreme silence. In short, the solitary Buddhas destroy the substantiality of cause and effect. Because they see no self-nature, they understand the selflessness of phenomena, but they only abide in silence. They do not focus on the appearance of the wisdom of suchness like Bodhisattvas. Nor is it merely understanding the selflessness of the individual like the Shravakas. Furthermore, the secret lords, worldly beings, whether the effect arises from the cause, or arises from karma, or even the world, are all caused by other powers. Therefore, the samadhi of emptiness arises, and that is the nature of worldly samadhi. The so-called "nature of worldly samadhi" is that worldly beings, although born from causes such as karma and effect, understand that "my master" is created by Ishvara and Brahma, and so on. They think that all phenomena are non-substantial, and they see emptiness, but that is not emptiness by nature, but Ishvara and others make it empty, and thus they abide in the samadhi of emptiness. The nature of the secret lord's samadhi is like that. From "Whether it is a worldly deity, or whoever practices mantras, abides in what place, and holds the rituals, they can benefit sentient beings" to this point, it is a summary of the above. Each of them understands the nature of emptiness in samadhi, abides in emptiness, and demonstrates and explains the Dharma of emptiness through words and letters, and so on, for the benefit of sentient beings. Then the Bhagavan spoke to Vajrapani, the lord of secrets, saying: The characteristics of the mantras of the mantras

From "Listen," up to "cultivating actions and life," thus the characteristics of the mantras of Tathagata, Samantabhadra Buddha, Buddha, Bodhisattva, Shravaka, and Pratyekabuddha are explained respectively. The nature of mantra should also be understood as threefold: the deity of mantra, the meaning of mantra, and the nature of mantra. Among them, the deity of mantra has been explained in the mandala where great compassion arises. That is, Tathagata, Samantabhadra Buddha, Buddha, Bodhisattva, Shravaka, Pratyekabuddha, etc., those who place the three families in the mandala of great compassion are the mandala of Tathagata. In the middle mandala, Shakyamuni Buddha dwells together with his retinue, which is Samantabhadra Buddha. In the lower mandala, the noble Manjushri and other Bodhisattvas who have perfected the ten bhumis dwell as the main deity, these are the Buddhas. In addition, Bodhisattvas such as Vajrapani are Bodhisattvas. Although Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas are not explicitly mentioned, they are included in the middle mandala because they subdue beings through their emanations. Worldly beings also surround the middle mandala with real objects. The meaning of mantra, from Samantabhadra Buddha to the samadhi of the worldly gods, has been explained previously. It should be understood as the two, conventional and ultimate. The ultimate is the empty nature of liberation. The conventional is "abiding in the ground of meaning," etc., teaching the Dharma for the benefit of sentient beings, and the qualities of the Bhagavan, such as the powers and fearlessness, etc. The nature of mantra should also be understood as without characteristics, that is, words, letters, sounds, and dialects. Among them, words are many letters arising, gathering and standing as words. Letters are alphabets, such as ཀ in Tibetan, which is each letter of the mantra. Sounds are alphabets, such as ཨ and ཨི in Tibetan, belonging to the category of hooks and loops. Dialects are each...
