Being arrogant due to pride in slowness, merits, and that very nature, and based on that, arrogance arises and transforms. What is the mind that transforms like a thorn? It means that wherever it is born, the arising of the mind acts in the same way. This is the mind of a thorn-like nature, because in the past, whether one practiced virtue or non-virtue, there are habitual tendencies, so wherever one is born, those habitual tendencies are born together with it. Or, having obtained a life with different ripening fruits of whatever karma, good or bad, from the past, one is born together with it. For example, having been accustomed to and frequently committing killing in a previous life, one will have many illnesses and a short life in the next life. Likewise, virtuous deeds should also be applied accordingly. The mind that transcends the world, after one hundred and sixty kalpas have passed, the mind that transcends the world arises. The mind that transcends the world also has two aspects: the undefiled mind that realizes the selflessness of the person, the mind that possesses suchness; and the undefiled mind that realizes the selflessness of phenomena, the naturally luminous mind that lacks suchness. Here, if one asks whether the mind that has not transcended the world can be known by people, those conceptualizers cannot know it. Therefore, it is said: "All concepts are difficult to understand." Spoken by the Buddhas of the past. Thus, if even those with conceptual minds cannot know it, then who can know it? It is not the domain of conceptual minds, but the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, know and declare it. "The Buddhas of the past" means that it is not only spoken by such as these, but the Buddhas of the past also knew and spoke in this way. This shows that the wisdom of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, is one. Why? Because the accumulation of merit and wisdom, as well as the Dharmakaya and the work of benefiting beings, are one, therefore it is due to equality. "Free from all faults" means that such profound and peaceful, one who realizes the selflessness of the person is free from afflictions and near afflictions. Secret Lord, abiding in that mind that transcends the world, thinking that the aggregates and so on exist.

Generating wisdom means that, in this way, one fully understands the true state of selflessness of the person, and abides in the deep, peaceful, and transcendent mind. As mentioned earlier, it is merely the skandhas, thinking that they exist, and realizing the selflessness of the person, then one will complete the accumulation of three great kalpas. From the time when aversion arises towards the skandhas, until the various stages of the path of practice are traversed in one great kalpa, one generally contemplates the skandhas in this way, and generates the thought that there is something real within them. If the skandhas are broken down and refuted, then the form skandha is like a mass of foam. Just as when foam is broken down, there is no essence in the foam, so too, when the skandhas are broken down and examined, only the individual characteristics of the dharmas such as color and shape remain, and no entity called "skandha" is found. Similarly, feeling is like a water bubble, which immediately bursts and disappears as soon as it arises. Because it is impermanent and has no place to stay, no entity that is considered a skandha is found. Similarly, if the consciousness skandha is broken down, consciousness is like an illusion. Just as the illusory bull and so on are not real bulls, but only the nature of grass and trees, so too is the consciousness skandha. No entity that is considered a skandha is found, but only the nature of consciousness itself. If the perception skandha is broken down, it is like a mirage. Just as a thirsty person sees water in a mirage, but there is no real water there, only the nature of the mirage, so too is the perception skandha. No entity that is considered a perception skandha is found, but only the nature of grasping at characteristics. Similarly, the formation skandha is like a tree in water, and because it is widely known, it will not be elaborated on here. Thus, by refuting the skandhas with the examples of foam and so on, no entity that is considered a skandha is found, but only their individual characteristics. Thus, if the existence of the skandhas cannot be established, then the realms and sources, etc.
