Therefore it is said, why cling? The mind is of the nature of the sky. This means that the nature of the sky is the abandonment of conception and various conceptions. Since it is similar to the nature of the sky, it is said that one should abandon all conceptions and various conceptions. This means abandoning various conceptions and various discriminations. Thus, since the mind is similar to the nature of the sky, so is enlightenment. What is said to be the nature of the sky is the nature of the mind, so it is the nature of enlightenment. Thus, mind, sky, and enlightenment are all said to be without the dual nature of grasper and grasped. Thus, secret lord, mind and the realm of the sky, and enlightenment are not two, so they are said to be non-dual. This is grasped by the perfection of the method of compassion. Such a mind, by its nature, also lacks the imprints of grasper and grasped, and the root of the nature of enlightenment and omniscience is compassion, which is the cause of stability. Here, the method of combining is the perfection, and the one who completely grasps is the wisdom of omniscience, which should be known as the cause of increase. Secret lord, this should be understood in this way by this treatise. As mentioned above, what is enlightenment? It is the natural state of one's own mind. It is also said that one should seek omniscience and perfect enlightenment from one's own mind. It is also said that enlightenment and omniscience are entrusted to one's own mind, because its nature is luminous. All that is said, and so on, is the same treatise. Both should be understood as the treatise of words that can be transformed into the cause of enlightenment and omniscience. Whatever Dharma is encompassed by the Buddha Bhagavan, and the Dharma of the Vinaya, whatever is taught to the assembly of Bodhisattvas, although the doors of words and so on are different, it is not for the sake of others, but for two purposes, namely, for the purification of the mind of enlightenment, and for the complete knowledge of one's own mind. Therefore it is said, whatever Dharma I have taught to the assembly of Bodhisattvas, all of them are for the purification of the mind of enlightenment, and for the complete knowledge of the mind. Among them, the purification of the mind of enlightenment is

The attainment of Bodhicitta on the first Bhumi of a Bodhisattva is pure because it is liberated from grasping and being grasped. The term 'mind' refers to that which, through understanding the nature of the mind, becomes the cause for attaining the first Bhumi. At the stage of aspiring conduct, Bodhicitta is generated, and for their sake, the Dharma is taught, meaning it is to be united with Bodhicitta itself. Thus, the mind to be fully grasped is not to be understood as being like color, etc., but as being of a nature that transcends all suchness. Enlightenment is not merely the nature of being separated from the aspects of grasping and being grasped, merely pure; to the extent that it becomes a sign, one should not know one's own mind in all of those, nor should one seek it, for it is said that it cannot be found. As it is, whether in the form of shape or color, etc., up to the point of saying that even if one searches in every way, it cannot be found. Even mentioning each of the aspects of color and shape, etc., one by one, if one examines with the scriptures of knowledge in the places where one is attached, it is not something that exists. Examining those such as color and form, those such as color and form are not different from the mind; if it is an appearance of the mind, then the mind itself will also become something with form, and to the extent that it possesses form, all of that will not exist if examined with the measure of atoms. Although those such as color are different to the mind, if they are not established as existing when examined with the measure of atoms, then if there is no form, the consciousness that arises as the suchness of form will not arise, so it does not exist. Likewise, others such as feeling also refute external objects. Since there is no object of focus, there is no object-possessor, and since mind and mental factors cannot exist, they are not focused upon. Secret Lord, this is called the way of the Dharma's appearance, which is the gate of the Bodhisattva's pure Bodhicitta. Thus, it is said that in the stage of aspiring conduct, fully knowing the mind is the cause of three things: the Bodhicitta of the first Bhumi, complete enlightenment, and omniscience. Among these, the gate of pure Bodhicitta is called the gate of pure Bodhicitta, through the way of entering the characteristics of the pure Bodhicitta of the first Bhumi.
