It is extremely subtle and difficult to understand. The path of the great yogi Buddha, which enters and approaches the initial path of self and other, is neither the realm of conceptual thought nor the realm of non-conceptual thought, but transcends both conceptual and non-conceptual thought. Therefore, it is difficult to examine and difficult to indicate, and it is free from the names of expression. It is difficult to examine with the mind and difficult to indicate with words, but words also reveal meaning. Because words are not meaning, they are free from the names of expression, and words cannot express it. Although it is not the realm of others and all children, the meaning is beyond names, so words cannot express it. Although it is not the realm of the Hearers and others outside the Great Vehicle, as well as individual ordinary children, there is a way to know and understand it. Showing the fourth meaning, if there is a way to understand like this, then what should be used to understand? Because the mistaken conceptual thought is not a valid cognition, the teachings of the noble ones and the wise, and the meaning of all things, should be understood through historical examination. It shows that the definitive teachings of the teacher, and the oral instructions of the lamas, should be observed in this meaning. The teachings shown by the teacher are not for the purpose of guidance, but are the teachings shown with definitive meaning, and the experiential oral instructions of the lamas and wise men who have understood without error, and the cultivation of bodhicitta for the purpose of understanding this meaning without error, should be observed here. Showing that mistaken conceptual thought is not a valid cognition, the cause of manifest and other things is used to destroy and establish the limits of things. With the cause of reasoning such as manifest and inference, all afflictions and pure things are destroyed and acted upon. In the end, will it become an existing or non-existing limit? What will it become? To think like this is to establish the continuous realm of this conceptual thought as a valid cognition, and to destroy it with wisdom. To think as above is to follow the continuum of inverted conceptual thought, to hold the realm seen wrongly by mistaken conceptual thought as a valid cognition, and to destroy and act with evil wisdom. For example, when a rope is seen as a snake, I see it manifestly, why do you say there is no snake? Thus, one's own mistaken manifest is taken as a valid cognition.

Grasping is like an unreliable measure. Why? Because speculation is endless, so examination is endless. If there is no essence, where is the measure? The permanent mind-essence, in the ultimate reality, cannot be established in any way. Therefore, how can there be action? So examination is endless, and if there is nothing to be done as an essence, where can it be established as a measure? Therefore, worldly terms of investigation are not needed on this path of yoga. Because of the unreliable measure, in the case of the appearance of illusion in conventional truth, worldly terms of investigation can also be destroyed as a measure. However, in the context of the path of yoga for the sake of the true meaning, these worldly terms of illusion are not needed. If you ask, what should be examined to understand the five kinds of objects? There are two kinds: things that are completely afflicted and things that are completely purified should be examined. There are also two kinds of examining things that are completely afflicted: examining whether they are the nature of complete affliction and examining the appearance of illusion. Examining whether it is the nature of complete affliction is: The cause of the limit of things should be examined in this path from history. And so on, it shows that the cause of examining the limit of the establishment of things is to examine how the history of the thing itself exists, so that the unerring path is determined. Therefore, in the case of seeking the supreme path, it should be examined in this way. For example, the nature of water being wet is shown by the history of the nature of water itself. It is also said in the scriptures: For those who have speculative wisdom, the Dharma of things is shown. In this way, the afflicted and purified things are known and speculated as they are, which is the unerring path. Therefore, it is necessary to seek the path through examining the history of things. The mind of all beings, the manifest appearance, the famous Dharma inside and outside, is the famous Dharma that exists in the minds of sentient beings, the six inner senses and the six outer objects that appear as objects. How the six attachments see and examine are not like that, they are mistaken. The six kinds of entering consciousness see and hear, etc., as objects of focus, and whatever appears is not as it is.
