May I, the holy one, generate the unsurpassed Bodhicitta, which is the mind of enlightenment, determined by the Buddhas, the protectors of the three times. In the vows of Buddha Yoga, I shall steadfastly uphold the three disciplines: the precepts of morality, the accumulation of virtuous dharmas, and the morality of benefiting sentient beings. I shall take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, the unsurpassed Three Jewels, from this day forth, and never abandon them. In the great and supreme Vajra family, I shall also truly uphold the Vajra, bell, and mudra. I shall also uphold the teachers. In the pleasing Samaya of the great and supreme Ratna family, I shall generously give the four kinds of charity six times each day. In the supreme and holy Padma family, which arises from great enlightenment, I shall uphold the holy Dharma of the three vehicles: outer, inner, and secret. In the great and supreme Karma family, I shall truly uphold all the vows, possessing all the vows. I shall also perform the work of offering to the best of my ability. Having generated the unsurpassed Bodhicitta, the holy one, for the sake of the benefit of all sentient beings, I shall uphold all the vows without exception. I shall liberate those who have not crossed over, I shall free those who have not been freed, I shall give breath to those who have not breathed, and I shall place sentient beings in Nirvana. This is the ritual of vows. Then, the Vajra Acharya, having bound and entered the mudra of the supreme Samaya according to the ritual, shall subdue with the mudra of स्फो、ट (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्फुट, Sanskrit Romanization: sphuta, Chinese literal meaning: burst). Then, one should take the accomplished Vajra conduct of all the Tathagatas. This is all the Buddhas, held in the hand of Vajrasattva. You should also always hold, and the Vajra-in-hand conduct is firm. Om Sarva Tathagata Siddhi Vajrasamaya Tista Esha Tvam Dharayami. Vajrasattva Hi Hi Hi Hi Hum. Bless me and so on. Accept the teachings as you see fit. Having done so, recite my name. Then accomplish the Vajra. What was said is said again. The Vajra Acharya, the hero of the mind, after binding the Vajra iron, strikes many cymbals and gathers all the Buddhas. Jah Hum Bam Hoh. Then meditate on the great mudra of Vajrasattva, and recite the one hundred and eight holy names once.
